As the Government of South Sudan, we would like to categorically and decisively clarify to everyone: The Republic of South Sudan is an independent nation with full sovereignty, and it does not fall under the authority or dependency of any other country, including the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Our relationship with our brothers in Egypt is built on mutual respect, shared interests, and strong bonds between our peoples. We are partners and allies in the region, but South Sudan’s sovereignty and national decisions always stem from our own independent will and the best interests of our people first.
We emphasize that any other interpretation of our diplomatic or economic relations outside of this framework is incorrect. South Sudan is a free nation, and it will always remain the sole master of its sovereign decisions.

بصفتنا حكومة جنوب السودان، نود أن نوضح بشكل قاطع وحاسم للجميع: دولة جنوب السودان هي دولة مستقلة ذات سيادة كاملة، ولا تتبع أي دولة أخرى، بما في ذلك جمهورية مصر العربية.
