لكن أحياناً، أكبر خطأ يمكن أن ترتكبه دولة هو رفض التعلّم من عدوها.

والبرتغال مثال مثالي على ذلك.

سواء أحببناهم أم لا، فقد أثبتت البرتغال نفسها كواحدة من أقوى وأكثر الدول تأثيراً في WarEra، وربما تكون من أقوى القوى في اللعبة. لقد أظهرت قدرتها على التوسع العسكري، والحفاظ على نفوذها، والتكيف مع التغيرات من حولها.

وهذا وحده يستحق اهتمامنا.

⚔️ عدوّنا، ومعلّمنا

كون البرتغال عدواً لنا لا يعني أن نتجاهل ما يفعلونه بشكل صحيح.

بل العكس تماماً.

العدو القوي يمنحنا شيئاً ثميناً للغاية: مثالاً حياً لما ينجح.

لقد أثبتت البرتغال أن القوة في WarEra لا تعتمد فقط على امتلاك أكبر جيش.

بل تعتمد على الجمع بين عدة عوامل:

الاقتصاد.

التنظيم العسكري.

الدبلوماسية.

التحالفات.

التخطيط الإقليمي.

القيادة النشطة.

والأهم من ذلك كله: التنسيق.

وهذا أمر يجب أن نأخذه بجدية.

🌍 التوسع من أجل هدف

قوة البرتغال لم تأتِ فقط من احتلال الأراضي وتلوين الخريطة بلونها.

توسعها ارتبط أيضاً بالأراضي والموارد والعلاقات الاستراتيجية مع الدول الأخرى.

وهذا يعلمنا درساً مهماً:

الأرض لا تكون ذات قيمة إلا إذا كنت قادراً على استغلالها والدفاع عنها.

يمكن لدولة أن تحتل عشر مناطق وتبقى أضعف من دولة تسيطر على خمس مناطق فقط، إذا كانت تلك المناطق الخمس تدار بشكل أفضل.

لذلك، يجب ألا نسأل فقط: كم تسيطر البرتغال؟

بل يجب أن نسأل: لماذا تسيطر على هذه المناطق؟

ما الموارد التي تستهدفها؟

ما الأراضي ذات الأهمية الاستراتيجية بالنسبة لها؟

ما الدول التي تحافظ على علاقات جيدة معها؟

أين تنفق قوتها العسكرية؟

هذه هي الأسئلة التي تهم فعلاً.

🤝 قوة الحلفاء

ربما يكون أهم درس يمكننا تعلمه هو الدبلوماسية.

فالتحالفات يمكن أن تكون عاملاً أساسياً في صعود أي دولة، والحفاظ على سمعة الدولة كشريك موثوق يمكن أن يكون بنفس أهمية قوتها العسكرية.

وهذا ما يجب أن يقلقنا أكثر من أي جندي برتغالي منفرد.

اللاعب القوي يستطيع الفوز في معركة.

لكن التحالف القوي يستطيع الفوز في حرب.

إذا استطاعت البرتغال إقناع عدة دول بأن التعاون معها يصب في مصلحتها، فإن هزيمة البرتغال تصبح أصعب بكثير من مجرد مهاجمة أراضيها.

يجب أن نفهم ذلك.

🧠 لا تقلّد البرتغال — افهم البرتغال

التعلم من البرتغال لا يعني أن نصبح مثل البرتغال.

لسنا بحاجة إلى تقليد كل قرار يتخذونه.

والأهم من ذلك، ادرسوا لماذا تنجح استراتيجياتهم.

إذا فهمنا ذلك، يمكننا بناء استراتيجيتنا الخاصة — استراتيجية مصممة خصيصاً لمواجهة استراتيجيتهم.

🔥 الاحترام ليس ضعفاً

هناك من يعتقد أن احترام العدو يعني الاعتراف بأنه أفضل منا.

وهذا غير صحيح.

الاعتراف بقوة الخصم ليس استسلاماً، بل ذكاء.

القائد الذي يقلل من شأن البرتغال لأنه يكره البرتغال يساعد البرتغال بنفسه.

أما القائد الذي يدرس البرتغال لأنه يريد هزيمتها، فهو يفعل بالضبط ما يجب على القائد أن يفعله.

الهدف ليس الإعجاب بالعدو.

الهدف هو فهمه.

لقد أظهرت البرتغال لمجتمع WarEra ما يمكن لدولة منظمة ومتعاونة أن تحققه.

لقد صعدوا، وتوسعوا، وعانوا من الانتكاسات، وتكيفوا معها، واستمروا في المنافسة على أعلى مستوى.

وهذا يجعل البرتغال أكثر من مجرد عدو آخر.

إنها حالة تستحق الدراسة.

🇵🇹 Learn From the Enemy: The Portuguese Example

In WarEra, we are constantly looking for enemies to defeat, territories to conquer, and nations to bring down.

But sometimes, the greatest mistake a nation can make is refusing to learn from the enemy.

Portugal is a perfect example.

Whether we like them or not, Portugal has established itself as one of the strongest and most influential nations in WarEra — arguably one of the strongest powers in the game. Their history has included enormous territorial expansion, powerful military activity, and an ability to remain relevant even when the situation around them changes.

And that deserves our attention.

⚔️ Our Enemy, Our Teacher

Being at war with Portugal does not mean we should ignore what they are doing right.

In fact, it should be the opposite.

A strong enemy gives us something extremely valuable: a live example of what works.

Portugal has demonstrated that strength in WarEra isn't simply about having the biggest army.

It is about combining several elements:

Economy.

Military organization.

Diplomacy.

Alliances.

Territorial strategy.

Active leadership.

And, perhaps most importantly, coordination.

Their leadership has openly emphasized the importance of alliances and diplomacy, even describing diplomacy as one of the most important aspects of the game.

That is something we should take seriously.

🌍 Expansion With a Purpose

Portugal's rise has not simply been about painting the map with their color.

Their expansion has involved strategic territories, resources and relationships with other countries. At one point, Portugal controlled territory across multiple regions, including parts of Africa and North America.

This teaches us an important lesson:

Territory is valuable only when you can actually use and defend it.

A nation can conquer ten territories and still be weaker than a nation controlling five if those five are better managed.

We should therefore stop looking only at how much Portugal controls and start asking why they control it.

What resources are they targeting?

Which territories are strategically important?

Which countries are they keeping close?

Where are they spending their military power?

These are the questions that matter.

🤝 The Power of Allies

Perhaps the biggest lesson is diplomacy.

Portugal's own leadership has stated that its allies were essential to its expansion and that maintaining a reputation as a reliable ally was important to its success.

That should concern us more than any individual Portuguese soldier.

If Portugal can convince several nations that cooperation with Portugal is beneficial, then defeating Portugal becomes much harder than simply attacking Portuguese territory.

We need to understand that.

🧠 Don't Copy Portugal — Understand Portugal

Learning from Portugal doesn't mean becoming Portugal.

We don't need to copy every decision they make.

Instead, we should study their methods.

Study their economy.

Study their military activity.

Study their diplomacy.

Study how they organize their players.

Study how they react when they lose territory.

Study how they recover from setbacks.

And most importantly, study why their strategies work.

If we understand that, then we can develop our own strategy — one specifically designed to counter theirs.

🔥 Respect Is Not Weakness

There is sometimes a belief that respecting an enemy means admitting they are better than us.

It doesn't.

Recognizing the strength of an opponent is not surrender.

It is intelligence.

A commander who underestimates Portugal because they dislike Portugal is helping Portugal.

A commander who studies Portugal because they want to defeat Portugal is doing exactly what a commander should do.

The goal isn't to admire the enemy.

The goal is to understand them.

Portugal has shown the WarEra community what a coordinated nation can accomplish.

They have risen, expanded, suffered setbacks, adapted and continued to compete at the highest level. Their own community history describes their transformation from internal struggles to becoming a major empire in the game.

That makes Portugal more than just another enemy.

They are a case study.

And if we are serious about becoming stronger, we should be willing to learn from every case study — especially the ones that are trying to defeat us.

So let Portugal keep fighting us.

Let them keep showing us their strengths.

Because every strength has a weakness.

And every enemy has something to teach us.

Study Portugal.

Understand Portugal.

Learn from Portugal.

Then build something stronger.

Because in WarEra, the smartest nation isn't necessarily the one with the strongest enemy.

It's the one that learns the fastest.
