Pray, allow me to introduce myself; I am Sir. Ferruccio Ferrari-Sinaccio, of the Palatine Counts of Piacenza.
As a new member of the Italian republic, I must observe that since my arrival, tranquility has remained most elusive. I am well aware that the intricacies of geopolitics are profound, and that a single treatise possesses not the power to cease a conflict in its entirety. Nevertheless, a well-placed word may indeed suffice to issue a moral clarion call to the subjects of those nations currently embroiled in strife. We, the citizenry, find ourselves squandering our substance to sustain hostilities that, in truth, concern us not.
I humbly propose to the citizens of all nations—and most urgently to those currently at arms—that they unite in a universal plea for peace, or at the very least, a hallowed truce.
My words are leveled against those administrations that seek to profit from bloodshed, those who misrepresent the noble spirit of their people, and those who dare to destabilize the very foundations of our continents.
In all likelihood, it may not. Yet, to sow the seeds of peace within the hearts of the readers is a worthy commencement-most notably when those readers are the very citizens and parliamentarians who uphold the sovereignty of our nations.
