A Final Address

«Κάλλιο για την πατρίδα κανένας να χαθεί, παρά να κρεμάσει φούντα για ξένον στο σπαθί»

Proud citizens of Greece, distinguished political colleagues,

I am writing this letter to you with a deep sense of pride for the trust you have placed in me during my fourth and final term as President. Storms can't stop a Greek, ever. We, remain standing by your side, fight every day for the well-being of the people, the geopolitical integrity, and the diplomatic standing of our country.

“No one is infallible.” In times of pressure, it is impossible not to make mistakes. But none of them has ever shaken my resolve. Just as every Greek soldier swears to serve “to the last drop of his blood,” so too will I serve Greece until my last breath.

Together, we managed to multiply our land's initial development by 4 times, never had our land's integrity wiped, and retained excellent diplomacy, finally survived even the most mad political rivals.

We are moving forward. The best is yet to come. Greece stands firm in the face of every challenge, and will continue to do so as long as we remain united, strong, and unwavering.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for the trust you have shown me throughout this journey. The time has come for me to step down. You won't miss me though, I will remain, in practice, behind the scenes of Greek politics, ready to serve whenever my country needs me.

With the utmost respect, I honor and recognize today all those who stood by me in this struggle.
