tldr; Story of my first 30days in eco, and turning to Darkside. All tips appreciated as I enroll to bankrupt myself.
"Do or do not, there is no try."
Thirty days ago, I spawned into War Era as a complete youngling. To make my entry even more legendary, I managed to sign up for the wrong country entirely. Lost in the political void, I had to fight my way to my true home.
Eventually, I found my way to the Republic of Ireland and joined a well-organized resistance fighting against our occupiers. What started as a desperate rebellion quickly turned into an economic empire. Under the name YellowYoda, I embraced the Light Side of the Force: building companies, orchestrating multinational trade deals, hiring citizens, and boosting our national economy.
Then came Day 30.
"Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny." The peaceful trader in me faded. YellowYoda was cast aside, and EvilYoda emerged. I looked at the global map, saw Greenland, and realized a fundamental truth of the universe: Green belongs to the Irish! I traded my spreadsheets for total war and launched an invasion.
For any younglings coming up behind me, here is the galactic wisdom I accumulated during my first month of economic expansion:
1. Unity Above All
Be a stellar citizen to your country, your Military Unit (MU), your political party, and your workers. Loyalty pays off. Following the guidance of experienced players will build the bedrock for your long-term success.
2. Profit, Profit!
Constantly scan the market for the best job offers, but always honor your commitments. Stick to your deals and pay your dues—your reputation (bonus) is your ultimate currency. Chat your company boss to ask for a raise! Sell with minimal margins, but invest the money to upgrade your companies asap. Don't be afraid to reskill to experiment & look at guides to make more money and invest fast!
3. Take Care of Your Workers
Pay living wages and increase them over time. If you can be online frequently early in your career, taking small profits with high frequency will compound into massive capital faster than you think.
4. Geography is Everything (Move to Non-Occupied Regions!)
Relocate your companies to non-occupied regions with solid production bonuses. I learned this lesson a bit late, but high regional bonuses and fast turnarounds are the secret to rapid wealth.
5. Have Fun & Embrace the Dark Side
Engage in global and national chats, share your milestones, celebrate with allies, and when the moment is right... shed your peaceful ways and become the Sith Lord you were destined to be.
As of Day 30, my economic expansion is officially on pause. I have entered War Mode, armed with 6 AE5s.
My arsenal isn't top-tier yet, and my companies are currently running on razor-thin margins while I carefully balance worker schedules so I don't lose them.
