I set out on a few days of hiking through the Swedish mountains. Each day brought miles of alpine tundra, crystal-clear streams and sweeping views that made me stop far more often than I needed to.

When I got thirsty, I didn't have to look far. I filled my mug straight from a crystal-clear mountain stream and drank the icy water directly from the source. It's hard to imagine anything fresher.

One of the highlights was spotting a white reindeer calmly making its way across the mountains. We stood watching each other for a moment before it continued on, as if I were just another passing visitor in its world. This was his kingdom, afterall.

I also took a coffee break on a mountain summit with a cup of coffee and my bread roll while the mountains stretched endlessly in every direction. It's remarkable how ordinary coffee can taste so much better with a view like that.

When I returned home, I realized it hadn't just been a hike. It had been a few days of silence and a reminder of just how magnificent the Swedish mountains truly are. This is the heart of Scandinavia. This is peace.
