To the Republic of South Africa, my friends, and anyone else who happens to read this:
For the foreseeable future, I will be stepping back from War Era and becoming mostly inactive.
This is not a permanent goodbye. It is not a rage quit. It is not because of drama, politics, elections, invasions, or anything of like that.
It is simply.... life
When I joined War Era, I expected another mobile game that I would play for a few days and forget about or a game that would only takes a couple of minutes, 2 times per day to complete basic tasks.
Instead, I found a community. I found allies, rivals, teachers, friends, and enough chaos to fill an entire archive of classified documents.
What started as a game became something much bigger:
Over the months I have spent here, I have fought wars, built companies, argued over politics, laughed at ridiculous situations, watched nations rise and fall, helped build nations and destroy nations. I survived the panic election season of March/April, and somehow ended up helping investigate the mysterious activities of one Mr. https://app.warera.io/user/690efde8fa2a3c7c37ee867d
.
More importantly, I met people.

Acknowledgements
Before I step back, there are a few people I want to thank individually.

Thank you for the leadership, the guidance, and for somehow remaining president despite the overwhelming amount of stress, sleepless nights, fighting in Congress, Embassy scuffles and more. Without you, https://app.warera.io/country/683ddd2c24b5a2e114af1612 wouldn't be where she is today.

Thank you for being such a good sport through all of the classified investigations, conspiracies, leaks, cover-ups, and completely factual allegations that were definitely not fabricated for entertainment purposes. You are a true friend I made along the way and made me feel much more comfortable with the others.

One of the best players I have ever met in War Era. A fantastic mentor, a great person to have a laugh with, and someone who taught me an incredible amount about the game. Many of the things I know today can be traced back to her guidance, patience, and willingness to help newer players improve.

The eco specialist. He may still be young, but he is always a great friend to chat nonsense with. He is exceptional at what he does, constantly improving, and I genuinely believe he has a bright future ahead of him both in War Era and beyond.

The Discord moderator we don't deserve but absolutely need. Without Binya, the South African War Era Discord would not be the welcoming and enjoyable place that it is today. Countless hours of work go unnoticed, but the community benefits from it every day.

The man who helped guide me from South Africa to Mozambique and showed me the ropes of so many aspects of the game. Whenever I was uncertain or needed advice, Astatine was one of the people I could rely on. A mentor, guide, and friend.

The meme machine herself. Without her, half of RSA would probably have nothing to laugh at. Behind the memes is a sharp-witted mind and one of the people who helps keep the community entertaining even during difficult times. The War Ledger would not be the same without her.

An exceptional boss and someone for whom I have gained enormous respect over time. He may not always be the most talkative person in the room, but his actions speak louder than words. Without his support and leadership, I would not be where I am today.

Still a relatively newer player, but one who learned the ropes incredibly quickly. He helped me tremendously in my factories and proved himself to be a reliable worker, a funny person, and someone who is always willing to learn. Smart, dedicated, and full of potential. If he continues on his current path, he is going to achieve great things in this game.

One of the best eco players I have had the privilege of learning from. He taught me much of what I know about running an economy properly and helped me understand aspects of the game that I would have struggled with alone. Now, as President of South Africa, he has taken on even greater responsibilities, and I have no doubt he will continue to do an excellent job.
To all of you, thank you.
Thank you for the lessons, the guidance, the laughs, the support, and the memories. War Era is a game, but the people are what make it worth playing.
Some of you were mentors.
Some of you were teammates.
Some of you became genuine friends.
I appreciate all of you more than you probably realize. Unfortunately, there comes a point where real life has to take priority.
I have studies that require my full attention. Mathematics is demanding enough on its own, and the opportunities that may lie ahead of me in aerospace robotics are opportunities I cannot afford to waste.
The reality is simple:
If I continue spending hours and hours every day gaming and sitting in Discord and War Era, I risk missing opportunities that may never come again.
That is not a sacrifice I am willing to make.
As the verse Hebrews 12:11 says:
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful! Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."
Christian or not, this is a message I believe goes for almost every task in today's world. Discipline might feel awful at first, but the reward at the end is always worth it.
I will miss the wars.
I will miss the elections.
I will miss the random late-night conversations.
I will miss logging in to see what disaster has happened while I was offline.
But discipline is often choosing what is important over what is enjoyable.
And for now, my future needs more attention than War Era.
That being said, this is not the end.
You will still see me from time to time.
I will still occasionally log in.
I will still pop into Discord every now and then.
I will still be keeping an eye on RSA.
For now, however, I need to focus on the next chapter of my life.
Thank you to everyone who made this journey memorable.
Thank you for the friendships.
Thank you for the laughs.
Thank you for the memories.
And thank you for making a simple game feel like much more than a game.
Until next time.
Stay strong.
Defend the Republic.
And please keep an eye on Suit. (JK Love you Suit)
