In Germany, there is an ancient oak tree known as the "Groom's Oak" (Bräutigamseiche) that has its own official postal address and a registered zip code provided by Deutsche Post.
Every day, a mail carrier visits the tree to deliver letters into a natural cavity inside its trunk. Anyone is allowed to climb a wooden ladder, read the messages, and reply to them, turning the oak into a traditional dating platform that has led to dozens of marriages over the decades
