Italy has survived wars, political turmoil, and the occasional invasion. But can it survive a President who willingly watched it get wiped? This week I bugged https://app.warera.io/user/69ce46fe3efc66a8eb2c4f89 with my questions
By Ryno
Since joining WarEra on April 2nd, Dreyfasu managed to gain the sacred President's chair. Serving one term and decided that one month of dealing with politicians, militaries, alliances, and whatever other bullshit comes with running a country is enough.
When asked what the biggest unfinished project was, they said the goal was to reorganize Italy's military structure. Stating
We are too many and it's difficult to reach everyone but August is an holiday month in Italy so I couldn't really achieve that.
Apparently, even the Italian military observes the tradition of not doing shit in August.
While Dreyfasu was not able to complete the reorganization during the term, the project isn't necessarily dead. They plan to continue working on it even if not picked as President.
Presidents often have to make unpopular decisions. Dreyfasu's example was slightly more unhinged. At one point, Italy was almost wiped out by Serbia. The president's response: "Don't defend it." I would reveal the strategy behind the call, but I'm not leaking military files like a War Thunder player.
To the average Italian citizen, however, the situation probably looked something like:
“Mr. President, Serbia is invading.”
“I know.”
“Should we fight them?”
“No.”
“...Are you sure?”
“Trust me.”
It's a good reminder that sometimes the difference between brilliant strategy and the President has lost his fucking mind is simply whether the plan works.
Naturally, my interviews would not be complete without bugging about food and tourism. So I asked Dreyfasu:
"If Italy had an honest tourism slogan, what would it be?"
History.. Food.. and talkative people. You will never be bored in Italy!
Between the history, food, and Italians being able to turn a five-minute conversation into a three-hour event, boredom doesn't exactly seem like a major national concern. Although perhaps the more accurate tourism slogan would be:
“Come for the food. Stay because someone won't stop talking to you.”
When asked about must-try foods Dreyfasu said, "EVERYTHING." So when visiting Italy you best save room for thirds, maybe even fourths. Moving on to destinations people have to check out Drefasu had this to say,
Italy is really full of beautiful places. Visiting our capital, Rome, is a must to understand how rich is our past. But there is so much more. Venice for its unique atmosphere, Florence for its art and Renaissance heritage, the Amalfi Coast for its breathtaking views, Sicily for its history and landscapes, and the Dolomites for some of the most beautiful mountains in Europe.
Wrapping up the questions, I always have the final two. Which country has the best memes? And what's a promise you want to make that the readers can hold you accountable for?
In their opinion, they believe Spain has the best memes.
For promises, they left y'all with
If I have to make one promise, it's that I won't stop contributing just because my presidency is over. I've always cared more about the Italian community than the title, and I'll keep doing my best to make Italy stronger, whether I'm President or not.
Thanks for reading! Hopefully you enjoyed the interview and got a few laughs out of it. I will be posting a giveaway post later; keep an eye out for it wink
Stay beautiful <3
