A Typical WarEra War Night With Friends
Pretty sure we all know this one.
You get home from work, open Discord and there’s already a message from the President or Minister of Internal Affairs.
“20:00 attack. Be ready.”
Alright then.
Chat starts going.
“Who are we hitting?”
“Everyone ready?”
“How much DMG can you do?”
“Got enough equipment?”
Everyone starts checking their equipment, health and hunger. Someone is doing the math, someone is checking the enemy and someone is probably still eating dinner.
Then:
“ATTACK.”
Here we go.
Everyone starts hitting and five minutes later the server is fighting for its life.
“Anyone else lagging?”
“Yeah.”
“Good.”
You wait, refresh, click again…
Eventually things calm down and everyone starts comparing DMG.
“How much?”
“240.”
“310.”
“I can still do another hit.”
Then you look at the result and somehow we actually won.
“LET’S GO.”
“WE GOT IT.”
Someone starts playing music. Someone opens a drink. Everyone starts talking shit about the enemy.
Nice.
War is over.
For about five minutes.
Then:
“Guys, they’re counterattacking.”
“Now?”
“Yep.”
And suddenly everyone is checking their equipment again.
“How much left?”
“Two.”
“Health?”
“38.”
“Hunger?”
“Not much.”
“DMG?”
“Maybe one good hit.”
…
Five minutes ago we were celebrating.
Now we’re trying to figure out if we have enough left to actually fight back.
Someone:
“Fuck it. Let’s try.”
Of course.
Because apparently we didn’t learn anything from the first attack.
Enemy keeps pushing, equipment keeps disappearing, health keeps dropping.
And then someone says:
“I told you not to use everything in the first attack.”
Nobody answers.
Because he was right.
And that’s how the “quick war before bed” becomes another few hours.
Tomorrow morning you’re going to work tired as hell.
But tomorrow evening you’ll open Discord again.
And there will probably be another message waiting:
“Guys, we have a problem.”
And you already know you’re staying.
