This is a marathon not a sprint, chill out and think about your decisions, ask questions and hop in every 8h. Do your missions and be respectful.

When I first joined, I had no idea what I was doing.

Like all new players, I wanted to grow as quickly as possible. I wanted to make progress, unlock things, and feel like I was actually contributing in battles. Looking back, I made a lot of small mistakes that probably slowed me down more than they needed to.

The good thing is that most beginner mistakes are easy to avoid once someone points them out.

I am still learning the game myself, but I wanted to share some things I wish someone had explained to me when I was starting out. Hopefully, this helps other new players save some resources, avoid frustration, and enjoy the game more.

1. Don’t Rush To Action Just Because You Can

The first thing I learned is that doing something is not always better than waiting.

When you start, every option looks important and it can be kinda overwhelming. You want to upgrade, expand, spend resources, and keep moving forward.

The problem is that some decisions help you today but hurt you later.

Before making a big move, it is worth asking:

• Will this help me in the future?

• Am I improving my position or just making progress look faster?

• Would saving this resource give me better options later?

Sometimes the smartest move is simply being patient.

2. Save Resources More Than You Think

This was probably one of my biggest beginner lessons.

It is easy to see resources sitting there and think, “I should use these now.”

But having resources available gives you flexibility. You never know when an opportunity will appear or when you will need them for something important.

A resource saved today can become the difference between being ready to manufacture goods and having to wait for the other company.

3. A Strong Economy Makes Everything Easier

At the beginning, it is tempting to focus only on visible progress.

Bigger numbers, more upgrades, more activity.

But behind every successful player is usually a strong foundation.

Your economy affects almost everything you do. A better income means:

• More choices

• Faster recovery

• More opportunities

• Less stress when making decisions

Building a strong base might not always feel exciting, but it pays off.

4. Don’t Compare Yourself Too Much

One thing that can make a new player lose motivation is looking at players who are already far ahead.

It is easy to think: “How am I supposed to catch up?”

The truth is that every strong player started at the same place: the beginning.

Instead of comparing yourself to someone who has been playing longer, compare yourself to where you were yesterday.

5. Learn From Other Players

There are many experienced players who have already figured out things you might still be learning.

• Pay attention to what successful players do.

• Ask questions.

• Watch how they manage resources.

• Try to understand why they make certain choices.

You do not have to copy someone else's exact strategy. Sometimes understanding the reason behind a decision is more valuable.

6. Your Reputation Matters

Something I did not expect when I started was how much relationships matter.

Being respectful, helpful, and reliable can open doors.

Simple things matter:

• Treat other players fairly

• Avoid unnecessary conflicts

• Help newer players when you can, even as a new player yourself

• Appreciate people who help you

A good reputation takes time to build, but it can become one of your biggest advantages.

7. Think Carefully About Gold

Gold is valuable, and it is easy to spend way too quickly.

Before using gold, I think it is worth asking:

“Will this help me progress later?”

The best uses of gold are usually the ones that continue helping you over time.

Sometimes waiting is the best investment.

8. Have Small Goals Every Day

You do not need a complicated plan to improve.

Even a simple daily routine helps:

• Check your progress

• Review your resources

• Decide what you want to achieve next

• Avoid unnecessary spending

• Learn one new thing

Small improvements add up faster than you expect. Playing every 8h is more than enough to grow.

If you are a new player reading this, my biggest advice is simple:

Take your time.

Learn the game.

Build your foundation.

Do not worry about becoming the strongest player immediately.

Everyone starts somewhere, and progress comes from making better decisions over time.
