Austrians, friends and companions,

when I look back on our journey, I am filled with pride. We were at rock bottom. Many had written us off. But we did not give up. Together, we fought, suffered, laughed, and in the end achieved what hardly anyone still believed possible. We reclaimed our homeland and turned defeat into a success story.

This was only possible because we stood together. Not because of one single person, but because of each and every one of you.

The fact that she now places her trust in me and sees me as her successor is more than just an honor to me. It is a responsibility that I want to accept with all my heart.

As your Vice President, I was there with you every step of the way. I experienced every battle, every setback, and every triumph alongside you. That is why I know that Austria is more than just a country on a map. Austria is a family. A community that stands up for one another and never gives up.

That is exactly what I want to preserve.

I will not promise you miracles. But I promise you that I will give everything for Austria every single day. With passion, honesty, and the same fighting spirit that brought us this far.
