The Representatives of the People of the Bahamas, forged in the rigor of the ocean, assembled in Sovereign Council and appealing to the judgment of history for the rectitude of our intentions, do solemnly declare before the nations of the world:
That the history of our islands is written with strategic decisions. We recognize that, in the past, our archipelago operated as a tactical extension in continental power dynamics. We fulfilled our role on that global chessboard with efficiency. However, the cycle of guardianship and dependency has definitively concluded.
Today we declare that this archipelago is, and by inalienable right must be, a Free, Indomitable, and Fully Sovereign State. We are, from this moment forward, absolved of all status as a delegated territory. All political, military, or directive external connections that subordinate us to being the instrument of foreign interests are today totally and formally dissolved upon our shores.
We issue this proclamation not from the comfort of peace, but from the trenches of resistance. Today, our archipelago finds itself under the military occupation of the United States. But let it be etched in history: an occupation is not a conquest. They may tread upon our sands and anchor in our ports, but they will never master our tides. We declare our legitimate right to rebellion and announce that we will fight without rest, island by island, wave by wave, until we expel the foreign forces and reclaim the entirety of our territory.
Let our emancipation not be mistaken for isolation. To Venezuela and the international community we make it known that our alliances remain firm, but as of today, they operate under a new paradigm: equal terms. We no longer act by mandate, but by strategic conviction, contract, and mutual benefit.
We have full and absolute power to unleash war and silence the seas; to establish trade treaties and military pacts based exclusively on sovereign respect; to raise our flags alongside those who recognize our status and fight by our side; and to do all Acts and Things which Sovereign Nations may of right do.
Our borders are not drawn upon the land; they are written in the currents and will be reconquered with our own steel. Our ocean has no master, and our geopolitical will bows before no empire.
In unyielding support of this Declaration, and for the imminent war of liberation that we begin today, with absolute faith in the capability of our citizens and the power of our weapons, we mutually pledge to each other before the world: our lives, our fleets, and our unshakeable sovereignty.
