Belgium isn’t really a proxy anymore, we've distanced ourselves from the Nigerian government, but still have friendly relations.
The money we will send them most likely comes from the trade deal that Nigeria establish factories with workers in Belgium in exchange for better tax rate. I have no clue about other relations between our IB and proxies, but at least in this scenario Belgium has established quite well some time ago that they decided to walk a different path from the Nigerian government. Won’t speculate on the reasons but I can certainly see why.
We will continue to be in IB, and cooperate massively with the Nigerian government, and quite frankly do everything MVC tells us to do, aswell as be in their community. But now we will be also allowed to send them money.
