Psychoanalysis of our 2 biggest MUs

Sun Tzu’s The Art of War taught us an important lesson: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles."

I, Dr. Jack, will focus on self-knowledge by first psychoanalyzing our two highest-performing military units: https://app.warera.io/mu/69bfeca032fb887b699d98be and https://app.warera.io/mu/697dfff14fe43895c80e9f4b.

Choosing this symbol indicates first of all, that this group consists of people from older generations. After all, no one became a Smurf fan by watching movies that were about as memorable as the letter "U" in a box of Nic Nacs. These are people who read the comic books when they were kids. (Yes, young people actually read back then.)

What’s more, they had other opportunities to grow fond of these cute little blue creatures. When their fathers ran out of cigarettes after their third pack of the day, they would send their kids off to the local shop: a ten-kilometer bike ride away. And as a bonus, the kids would get a few coins to buy a Kinder Surprise.

(The image quality would put your smartphone to shame)

But hidden inside these Kinder Surprise eggs were Smurfs and there were hundreds of designs to collect. That is why these children developed addictions to both chocolate and collecting. It was not uncommon to see glass-fronted cabinets filled with these figurines in kitchens or bedrooms. (Not in the living room, Mom and Dad didn’t want those eyesores on display for guests to see.)

Choosing this symbol reflects a nostalgia for their youth, a time when everything seemed fine and the future looked promising.

Consequences:

Aside from frequently coming out with phrases like "back in my day" or "at Christmas, we got oranges," members of this unit tend to spark online clashes due to the generational gap.

Take this image for example:

While newer generations might say things like "it’s wrong to make fun of fat people because it’s fatphobic" or "it’s beautiful to see someone accepting their body", lies they tell themselves while hitting the gym specifically to avoid looking that way, the "Smurf" generation took a different approach. "Hey fat pig, do you want a Big Mac?" That brand of healthy, blunt and direct bullying designed to shame the person, actually set so many people straight.

It is this generational divide that leads a good number of them to get muted in games these days. https://app.warera.io/user/691d7aefc66380bdd827820f being perhaps the most well-known example.

And the addictions sparked by Kinder Surprise eggs often translate into an urge to gamble on loot crates in our game.

Here we are immediately dealing with a more recent generation. We can easily show what the members looked like in their teens based on their choice of symbol: Devils.

It involves the people of Gothics and their love for everything dark and edgy. Members of this group therefore takes user names like "DarkSassuke666" and shared the same musical tastes:

However one can find a few members of the Smurf generation who used to be teased with taunts like "Hey watch out Vampire, you're going to catch fire." These individuals had a slightly different culture:

Their reluctance to leave their rooms made them the forerunners of gamers and they developed skin that was particularly sensitive to sunlight. As they grew up, they naturally developed a taste for heavy metal music and horror movies.

Consequences:

Although their shared passions might bring them together for a time, their social batteries drain quickly and they retreat back into the shadows. However since you don’t really meet people face-to-face on the internet, it works out fine. They are reserved individuals who do not broadcast their great feats to the world, unlike the Smurfs with their trophy cabinets.

Yet, they tend to do things differently from others to highlight the distinctiveness that matters so much to them. It is not uncommon to see some members sell off all their existing companies to create a new unit based on fresh principles. Having spent most of their childhoods in their rooms, they had plenty of time to devote to their passions and became masters of the art of optimization.

Conclusion:

Despite spanning different generations, they have maintained a strong connection to Belgium through their choice of symbols. It is therefore no surprise to see so many of their members active within our successive governments. I would like to extend a huge thank you to them. They are undoubtedly our greatest champions and I challenge any of our other military units to try and compete with them.

PS: Isn't the Black Smurf the perfect symbol of the blending of the two units?
