Breaking: Iraqi and Ukrainian Forces Clash in Shirvan

Since last night, Iraq has launched an attack on Ukraine in Shirvan. in and around the city, heavy battles have been sighted, both sides not giving up.

Unclear origins of conflict

Officials haven´t confirmed why they attacked from their respective borders. But earlier escalation suggests it´s because of geopolitical tensions, although that is Not confirmed

Heavy fighting near city outskirts

Local sources show heavy fighting outside the city, artillery fire and bombings could be heard, as well as firefights. Both countries have said they took heavy losses. A local video source told us an Iraqi soldier shot down an Ukraine fighter jet. Ukraine has said that the pilot is ok and is safe at home. It´s also been reported that other countries are there too, helping allies in this war.

Civillains caught in the middle

Local sources showed us that more then 200 people since the start of this war have been reported dead. People around the world are mad, saying `go fight somewhere else´
Local authorities have said to take shelter and minimize travel. As clashes continue, humanitarian organisations say if this continues they´ll run out of supllies.

Shirvan has been taken over by Iraq as Ukraine's forces retreat back. civillians now more scared then ever. What will happen now is unclear as we haven't got a response from offials. What we do know is that it's a rapid situation developing, and we'll ofcourse let you know if anything happens
