One round. One region. And a number that goes past everything Muntenia put on the board.

The attackers finished on 587.07 million damage. The defenders answered with 583.45 million. Combined, the round for Central Ukraine clocks in at 1.171 billion hit points — the largest single round the game has ever seen.

The margin? 3.62 million damage out of 1.171 billion. A gap of 0.31%, spread across two coalitions and more than five thousand people — less than half the margin that decided Muntenia. The attackers took it 50.15% to 49.85%, on a points ledger of 303 to 149.

And it settles nothing. This is a best-of-three. Lithuania leads 1–0. Round two is already running.

The Context: A Homeland Struck From Stolen Ground

But look at where the blow is coming from, because that is the real story: the attack is being launched out of https://app.warera.io/region/6813b70b9403bc4170a5da5c — Belarusian ground that https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac7b8 has already taken and now holds.

The asymmetry is written into the terrain. Gomel sits at a development of 3.02 — a conquered, hollowed-out staging ground with nothing left in it. Central Ukraine sits at 39.27, the full value of a Ukrainian core region. Lithuania is attacking out of a spent province into a living one.

It is also a fight between two very different shapes of power. Ukraine holds 25 regions and an active population of 272. Lithuania holds 10 and fields 469 active citizens — fewer than half the territory, nearly twice the people, and core regions developed to 113.79 against Ukraine's 39.27. Ukraine has the empire. Lithuania has the army.

And these two are not strangers. They are each other's sworn enemies, declared both ways. Behind them stand two blocs: The Inglourious Basterds behind Lithuania, ATLAS behind Ukraine.

The Defence: When the Ally Outguns the Homeland

Here is the number that should make Kyiv uncomfortable.

In total, 119 nations put damage on the board for the defence. This is not a country defending a region. This is a continent defending a principle.

The Offensive: A Flatter, Wider Machine

The attacking coalition is built on a completely different geometry.

The top three attackers hold 44.9% of their side's damage against the defence's 56.4%. The defence is a spear with three points. The offensive is a net — 110 nations wide, and much harder to decapitate.

The Paradox of the Scoreboard

Now the detail that makes this round genuinely strange.

The damage was level — 0.82% apart. The points were not. The round finished 303 to 149, better than two to one for the attackers. Damage counts what you did; points count when you did it, tick after tick, and on that ledger Lithuania was ahead at practically every reading. The tracker's own verdict, minutes before the close, was blunt: "Lithuania extending the lead."

The hit counts show how two sides reached the same total by opposite roads. At the last reading before the round shut, the attackers had landed 180,729 hits against the defenders' 164,488 — sixteen thousand fewer. But every defensive hit landed harder: 3,468 damage per hit against 3,181, a 9% edge per blow.

The defence has the sharper sword. The offensive has the faster arm — and the faster arm takes the ticks.

The human scale behind it is worth stating plainly: 2,757 individual fighters swung for the attack, 2,598 for the defence. 5,355 people, in one round, over one region.

The Units: Battalions, Turtles and Smurfs

Read the two lists together and the shape of this war is obvious. On both sides the host nation's flag is on the region — and somebody else's battalion is on top of the leaderboard.

The Bill: 172,000 and Two Empty Treasuries

Damage is the headline. Money is the part nobody publishes, and it is the part that decides how long this can last.

Bounty is the first tap. Lithuania paid 0.1 per thousand damage, Ukraine 0.086 — and between them they had already distributed 85,404 to the people doing the hitting: 41,484 out of the attacking pool, 43,920 out of the defending one.

Mercenary contracts are the second tap, and here Ukraine is spending like a nation that cannot afford to lose. 313 contracts were awarded in this battle. Lithuania took 116 of them, for 40,193. Ukraine bought 197, for 47,016 — more contracts and more money than the side that started this war.

Add the two taps and round one alone burned 172,613 in war spending.

Now look at what is left in the vaults. Lithuania's treasury: 237.80. Ukraine's treasury: 34.94. Two nations that have just spent the better part of two hundred thousand between them are, at this moment, functionally broke. Round two has to be paid for out of income, not savings — and that, far more than the damage graph, is what will decide this battle.

One last irony for the road. Lithuania leads 1–0. It needs one more round. Ukraine needs two, out of a treasury with 34.94 in it, against a coalition that just proved it can field a hundred and ten nations and still not be the side with the harder punch.

Round two is live. If it burns like the first one, this single region will cost the world more than two billion damage and a third of a million in bounty and contracts — for one tile of plains on a map that has seven hundred and twenty-six of them.
