By Olak, Your Overworked, Underpaid, and Terribly Traumatized Freelance Journalist

I should have stayed in bed. Or better yet, I should have deleted my account and taken up virtual goat-herding. Today, I strapped on a completely useless cardboard helmet, duct-taped some frying pans to my chest, and decided to bravely crawl on my belly through an active artillery barrage, dodging supersonic bullets, flying shrapnel, and falling debris just to find out why Namibia suddenly decided to go scorched-earth on Mozambique.

Why did Namibia slam down a massive, legally binding declaration of war? Oh, get a load of this corporate soap opera nonsense. Mozambique got caught red-handed playing the world's worst, most obvious game of underground finance. They were caught sliding cash directly into the pockets of Namibia’s mortal enemies like some sketchy back-alley loan shark trying to fund a secret underground rat-fighting ring. Bro thought he was running a sleek, sophisticated offshore tax haven, but instead, he got dragged out into the public square by his ankles. You’re sitting there sliding funds under the table while whistling innocently and pretending to be Switzerland? Absolute clown behavior.

Everyone Is Someone's B-Word

As your resident investigative journalist, I live to learn even if those lessons come with severe psychological damage. Remember when I recently found out that my own home country, Burkina Faso, is apparently a complete proxy for Portugal, strutting around like a string-pullled puppet? Well, it gets worse.
While talking to the big dogs on the map, I just found out that Nigeria is a proxy for the Netherlands. Yes, you heard that right! The Netherlands is sitting back in clogs and windmills pulling the strings in Abuja! Apparently, everyone already knew this except for my perpetually out-of-the-loop, dirt-caked brain. I'm sitting here having a mid-life existential crisis in a foxhole realizing that none of us are real countries; we're just Sims being played by Western European macro-managers.
And speaking of ghost nations that refuse to stay dead: South Africa. Look, I am still recovering from the shock of finding out how this game actually works. In my innocent newbie days, I genuinely thought that once you conquer a nation, it vanishes from the earth forever like Atlantis. Nope! Turns out nations just hang around like a stubborn stain, waiting to revolt, flip the table, and bounce right back onto the map like a bad subscription you forgot to cancel. It's exhausting!
🚨 BREAKING UPDATE

Just when I thought my nervous system couldn't take any more abuse, the map shifted yet again. Guess who decided to enter the chat with a flying dropkick? Libya! Yes, Libya just slammed down an official declaration of war on my very own homeland, Burkina Faso!
Why? Oh, it’s petty geopolitics at its finest. Everyone knows Burkina Faso is out here marching to the beat of Portugal’s drum as an absolute proxy state. And since Portugal has been repeatedly trying to aggressively occupy Libya like an unwanted relative overstaying their welcome at Thanksgiving, Libya decided to take out their absolute fury on us! They’re using Burkina Faso as a punching bag just to spite Portugal. So now, while I'm dodging bullets in Maputo, I also have to worry about my home country getting airstriked because Libyan leadership has beef with Portuguese real estate ambitions. You guys couldn't just settle this over a game of chess?
OLAK'S DESPERATE SHAMELESS PLUG & SUFFERING CORNER

Look, before you close this tab to go cry about your own terrible geopolitical life choices, let’s take a hard look in the mirror. Because I know how you people operate.
You read the whole article. You laughed. You probably snorted coffee through your nose. You might have even hit that little heart button or left a witty comment thinking, "Oh, look at Olak, out here dodging artillery shells in a frying-pan helmet, what a clown." And then? You scrolled away. Zero tips. Not even a digital crust of bread or a virtual nickel tossed into my bullet-riddled trench. You treat my trauma like a free Netflix comedy special! You're out here acting like a broke aristocrat—giving me standing ovations with your thumbs, but keeping your wallet glued shut tighter than a South African president's DMs when I ask for an interview!
Have some shame! Do you think duct tape and cardboard grow on trees at Rank 11,210?! Do you think I buy these frying pans with good vibes and political daydreams?! Every time you read my frontline reporting without tipping, an angel loses its wings, and a stray mortar shell lands a little too close to my sleeping bag.
So here is the deal, you absolute freeloaders:
SUBSCRIBE right now before I write an exposé about how your country is secretly a proxy state for a pigeon.
LIKE AND COMMENT if you love chaotic energy and journalistic suffering.
TIP yes, actually open that digital wallet and drop some coins, because my landlord doesn't accept "likes" as rent, and the local goat-herder union is threatening to repossess my cardboard helmet.
If you don't tip today, may your next war declaration bounce back at you like a bad boomerang, and may your nation get permanently ghosted by everyone on the map.
Now smash that subscribe button, empty your pockets into the tip jar, and let me go back to crying in peace.
