Serbia won three battles in a single day, including a rout of Malta

Serbia had another dominant day, beating Italy twice (18.5M to 2.2M, then 7.4M to 3.4M) and routing Malta in a massive battle (65.7M to 49.0M). The Poland-Iran saga also delivered its latest chapter: Iran won a huge battle, 196.0 million to 175.5 million — one of the largest fights of the entire rivalry.

The United Kingdom beat Denmark in a big battle (126.6M to 87.6M), and Denmark found itself under pressure from multiple directions as Sweden also declared war on it the same day. Guatemala's remarkable run continued, narrowly beating Iran (10.3M to 10.2M) and opening two new fronts — against Latvia and the United States — on the same day. In an upset, Madagascar defeated Australia in a big battle (33.2M to 21.2M).

Mauritania declared war on both Spain and Senegal on the same day, a sudden double expansion. The alliance rivalry ledger shifted too: B.E.E.R vs The Inglourious Basterds pulled clearly ahead of the pack at 4.96 billion combined damage across 24 battles, overtaking ATLAS vs Reservoir Dogs (4.72 billion, though still the most frequent at 51 battles).

Steppes Horde lost two members in a single day

Both Belize and Venezuela left the Steppes Horde alliance within hours of each other, a notable blow to the group's ranks. Mauritania also left the SAS Alliance just hours before declaring war on two separate countries — a clear signal it had been planning its next move.

Romania broke pacts with both Rwanda and Kosovo at the same moment, and East Timor continued its steady retreat from alliances, cutting ties with Vietnam and Eritrea. On a warmer note, Switzerland and Italy made peace just hours after fighting each other on the battlefield.

Elsewhere, the United States and Latvia signed a new pact, as did Denmark with both the Netherlands and Belgium — a busy day of alliance-building despite the chaos elsewhere.

Venezuela sold its own capital region — complete with a gold deposit

In the most striking trade of the day, Venezuela sold a capital region to Spain for a symbolic 1 coin — and that region held a gold strategic resource, making it a significant loss dressed up as a routine transaction. Elsewhere, Guatemala sold a region to Ecuador, and East Timor sold a region to India.

It was one of the busiest deposit-discovery days on record, with more than 30 new temporary deposits found across the map — everything from wood in Vanuatu to petroleum in Namibia to iron in Egypt. Guatemala kept receiving support too, from Peru (679) and Ecuador (1,000), while Serbia took in funds from Armenia (1,200) and Ukraine (666).

Yemen and India held their lead once more

Yemen remained #1 at 61.5% (limestone), with India at 60.5% (iron), and Serbia and DR Congo tied at 60% (steel and iron respectively).

EXTRA

Ultima Ratio extended its lead further in the Military Unit rankings, now at 224.2 million weekly damage, well clear of SPECTRE (195.9M) and Knights Hospitaller (184.9M).

It was a quiet day for moderation — just one confirmed ban, a permanent multi-accounting case. Libya continued to lead the all-time rankings at 19.

Community press: the day's most-read piece was a personal coin-collecting showcase from Pixi112 (139 views). A satirical news piece imagined Danish Vikings setting sail for Scotland "to relive Lindisfarne glory" (113 views), a playful nod to the day's Denmark-UK battle, and a weekly comic strip continued its run at 107 views.
