Celebrating 100 Subscribers & Announcement for Flip Trade Tracking Tool and Ahli Ekonomi
Dear readers,
I hope this article finds you in the pink of health. There will be no regular Market Updates today or moving forward under this current format. Why? Because today, we are celebrating a major milestone:
100 subscribers!
I am utterly proud and grateful for the opportunity to write for all of you. I will always try my absolute best to keep generating the content you love. Nothing warms my heart or motivates me more than when readers reach out to tell me that my articles have genuinely helped them. Please accept my sincerest appreciation for your incredible support along the way.
To commemorate this milestone, I have two major announcements to share:
1. Official Launch of War Era Flip Tracker (WEFT) v0.3.4
I have been working hard on a side project to help the community track their trading efficiency. War Era Flip Tracker (WEFT) is a specialised tool designed to track exactly how much profit a player, military unit (MU), country, or party generates purely from flip trading.
Algorithm: First-In, First-Out (FIFO) accounting method to calculate your realised profit, the value you capture out of thin air by buying low and selling high (e.g., buying 10k Iron at 0.08 BTC and reselling it at 0.081 BTC for a 10 BTC profit).
Logic behind the profit: Realised profit is the direct result of the time, effort, and capital you allocate to capturing the spread between market buy and sell orders. Naturally, players with larger capital pools will see larger returns.
Factors excluded: To give you an accurate picture of pure trading, the tool separates and excludes assets where a buy-sell loop isn't completed. This includes still holding items (goods waiting to be sold, concrete for company building, bread for consumption, or steel for regional upgrades) and produce surplus (goods gathered or manufactured via Automated Engines, workers, entrepreneurship, battle drops, giveaways, or gear dismantling).
I've been vibe coding this project with Claude's support to get the program working.

The Web Version
You run your request online through this website: https://war-era-flip-trading-tool.vercel.app/
Pros: Swift and easy. You just visit the website, fill up your request details, confirm the requested entity, and the dashboard will be presented.
Cons: Vercel has a strict 5-minute running time limit, meaning it will get cut off before finishing big accounts. It also lacks cache memory for your last searched record.
The Desktop Version (Recommended for Big Accounts)

Pros: Unaffected by web server downtime, has no time limits, and handles big accounts smoothly. It also provides a PNG screenshot of the dashboard, a detailed transaction ledger breakdown in CSV, and local cache records.
If you only need to update your records without waiting an eternity for the program to fetch the whole history, tick "use full cached history" to fetch only the new updates.
How to use: Just run the Python script in an empty folder. A form window will jump up for you to fill in, and the results will be saved in neatly organised folders for individual entities under the folder "warera_data".
2. Officially establishing a New Independent Newspaper: Ahli Ekonomi (AE)
To take our reporting to the next level, all future Market Updates and miscellaneous news from me will be published under the name of Ahli Ekonomi, an independent, economically focused newspaper series that is free from political influence.
