It turns out that since my previous article, I didn’t let xenophobia or insults get to me and I kept playing. There were some nice comments on that article. Also, it’s satisfying to see progress in my player profile; it’s not something that happens in all strategy games unless you’re forced to spend money.
Also, I now better understand how companies work and I’m trying to improve them... at first, I didn’t realize how important skill points were, and without meaning to, I focused my account on damage instead of economy 😕. When I looked at other profiles at my level, I noticed they had less damage than me but better wealth and more companies. It’s exhausting to improve them all, but I’m getting there. I really want to have employees in the future.
Regarding my country, there were elections and a change of government, like in other countries. However, as I mentioned in the previous article, there are actions and comments that sometimes border on xenophobia and emotional bias (from various countries and players), but I feel there is more seriousness among the newly elected leaders.
Our territory is still under foreign occupation, but honestly, I’ve started to care less about it… maybe when I level up more, that will change.
I find it curious how there are players who are much calmer and keep a low profile... you only hear about them during elections or big wars, and apparently it happens in all countries. They’ve been playing for months but have never written or published any article. 🤷
I hope to continue documenting my journey in this game and enjoy it properly.
I tried to say goodbye using a photo of my new cat but it didn't work, lmao.
P.S.: A minister from my country made a suggestion on the official Discord to add a settings option so the game allows us to change color filters, whether for contrast levels and/or color blindness. I have some sensitivity to strong contrasts, related to migraines, and it makes it difficult to read articles or the in-game chat. Anyone who can support the suggestion or create a new one, that would be great :)
