UKPP — MyrddinWyllt for Congress

---

«Keep the country active.

Keep the machinery moving.

Leave it better than we found it.»

I’m standing for Congress with UKPP.

Not because I’ve suddenly developed ambitions of becoming a professional politician, but because I’ve spent enough time wandering around the UK, watching how things work, talking to people and occasionally poking the machinery to have a few thoughts about how we keep it moving.

---

A COUNTRY IS MORE THAN A NUMBER

The UK feels more alive than it did when I arrived.

Chat is busier.

People are helping newer players.

Different strategies are being discussed.

Military units are moving.

People are actually giving one another reasons to log back in.

That matters.

Recruitment gets people through the door.

Retention gives them a reason to stay.

---

THERE IS NO SINGLE CORRECT WAY TO SERVE

A functioning country needs more than one kind of player.

The damage dealer.

The industrialist.

The organiser.

The resistance fighter.

The recruiter.

The teacher.

The person keeping chat alive at two in the morning.

Different accounts. Different jobs. Same machine.

Congress should support that variety rather than try to flatten everybody into one approved build or one approved way of playing.

---

WHAT I’LL BRING

I don’t intend to reinvent myself because there’s a seat in Congress attached to my name.

I’ll keep doing what I’ve already been doing:

Observe before speaking.

Ask questions.

Help where I can.

Support active resistance and defence.

Encourage discussion instead of shutting it down.

Make newer and returning players feel like there is somewhere to plug in.

And, where necessary, appear with a toolbox and ask whether anybody has checked the bearings.

---

UKPP

I don’t see UKPP as something belonging to one person.

A party is useful when its members actually shape it.

The same goes for the country.

Congress should not become a little room where a handful of people talk amongst themselves while everyone else watches from outside.

It should remain connected to the players actually doing things.

---

ACTIVITY → COMMUNITY → RESILIENCE

That is roughly the direction I want to push.

Nothing grander than that.

Keep people involved.

Keep information moving.

Keep room for different approaches.

Support the people already putting effort in.

And when something breaks—

fix it.
