Day 2 in WarEra and… what the hell happened to the map?
I’ve been playing for 48 hours and I’ve officially decided to sue my geography teacher. I opened the map expecting to see the world I know, but instead, I found a beautiful, chaotic fever dream.
Since I’m a "new citizen" here, I decided to keep a diary of the madness. Here is what I’ve seen so far:
The New "Big Four" Superpowers
Lithuania (The Red Giant) – This isn’t a country anymore; it’s a whole continent. They swallowed the entire Russian landmass. Honestly? I think Russia isn’t on the map only because they probably don't have internet access to this game. Or they saw Lithuania coming and just logged off forever.
The Netherlands – Apparently, the Dutch got tired of their tiny borders. They’ve colonized the Arctic and are currently eating Canada and the US East Coast for breakfast.
East Timor (The Absolute Legend) – This is my favorite. A tiny island looked at the massive continent of Australia and said: "Look at me, I am the captain now." *
Libya – While everyone was looking at Europe, Libya just decided to own the Sahara. They’ve pushed so deep into Africa that the desert is basically their backyard now.
The "Gone Girl" Section (RIP to the Fallen)
The UK and Ireland: Vanished. If you look at the British Isles, it’s all dark blue and labeled Belgium. I guess the Brits and the irish ppl finally gave up and traded their tea for better beer and waffles.
Algeria : One of the biggest countries in Africa? Deleted. Carved up by Libya and... Argentina? (Don't ask).
A Personal Note: Italy and Morocco
Now, this part hits close to home for me. I was born in Morocco but I grew up in Italy, so looking at the map for these two countries was the first thing I did.
Italy is going full Roman Empire : I saw that Italy has marched north and taken over half of Germany. I guess Berlin finally has a chance to get some decent espresso and pizza! Watching the Italian flag flying over German territory is definitely a sight to behold.
Morocco is still standing! : Amidst all this global carnage, where empires are disappearing like magic tricks, my dear Morocco is still on the map. While the world is being redrawn by madmen, the Lions of the Atlas are holding their ground. We are still here, and we aren't going anywhere!
I’m just a rookie trying to run a few companies without going bankrupt, but seeing this world makes me realize that in WarEra, anything is possible.
To the leaders of these Empires: how do you even sleep at night? And more importantly... are you hiring?
