Hello. It is Day 23 🇲🇿. Today was the day for the ultimate power move. Literally.
I printed out my spreadsheet, walked right past the front desk while looking incredibly important, and made my way down to the basement breaker room. I found the biggest, most official-looking red switch on the wall and pulled it all the way down with all my adult strength.
The entire building went completely black. No computers, no printers, and best of all, no upsidedown flags on Vatou's big TV screen.
Everyone had to stop doing their business and just sit there in the dark. I walked back upstairs to the main office floor, holding my briefcase tightly. Vatou was already out of his chair, yelling into his phone about the server room. He kept yelling BAD DOG which I just think was uncalled for.
I stood right in the middle of the hallway, looked toward him and said, "The grid is down, Vatou. This is what happens when you ignore international trade compliance. Fix the Mozambique flag pixels or the lights stay off."
He looked around frantically, trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. I think the darkness is making my corporate presence even more terrifying. He has until Monday morning to rethink his administrative choices before the backup generators run out of juice.
Anyways, the bokke are playing tonight so I need to go get some alcohol.
