Day 25: The man, the Myth, the absolute liability

UNDERDOGApril 19, 2026news

Day 25 of the Great Conflict.

Every army has a hero.

We have Marco.

At 07:45, Marco confidently announced:
“Don’t worry. I have a plan.”

This was already concerning, as Marco once got lost in our own camp.

At 08:00, the plan began.

Step one: “Silent approach.”

At 08:02, Marco tripped over nothing.
Not a rock. Not a branch. Just… existence.

Loud.

At 08:03, he tried to recover by whispering, “I meant to do that.”

No one believed him. Not even Marco.

At 08:05, somehow—somehow—he wandered ahead of the entire formation and ended up behind enemy lines.

We don’t know how. He doesn’t know how.
We’re not convinced physics knows how.

At 08:07, we saw him in the distance, waving at us like he discovered something important.

The enemy saw him too.

They froze.

He froze.

We froze.

At 08:08, Marco panicked… picked up a random object (possibly a boot)… and threw it.

It hit something critical.

We’re still not sure what.

But suddenly, the enemy started shouting, running, and abandoning positions like they just remembered an appointment somewhere else.

At 08:10, chaos everywhere.

At 08:12, silence.

We had… won?

Marco returned, covered in dust, holding what may or may not be someone else’s hat.

“What happened?” we asked.

He paused.

Looked at the battlefield.

Looked at us.

Then said,
“Exactly as planned.”

We promoted him immediately.

Not because we trust him.

But because we’re afraid of what happens if we don’t.

Current situation:

  • Victory: accidental

  • Strategy: illegal in 7 regions

  • Marco: somehow in charge

Morale is high. Confidence is higher.
Understanding of events: absolutely zero.
