Day 3: Opening a Box for Every Like and Tip (Feed the Habit)

J1MMYSeptember 5, 2026entertainment

Yesterday's numbers came in and, uh, we need to talk. Three (3) tips. THREE. I've had emptier rooms, but not by much. So today the deal changes, because apparently asking for money is a bigger ask than I thought but liking the article should not be.

New here? Quick version: you tip, it all goes straight into boxex and starting today, liking this article pledges me a box too, on my own dime. Every day's total carries into tomorrow, plus whatever new tips and likes come in on top. It only ever grows. (Full detail + Day 1's opening at the bottom, if you want the origin story.)

Yesterday's Article

Here's today's opening, and here's the new math behind it, spelled out once so nobody's confused: yesterday's pile (6 boxes) + yesterday's likes (4, ×1 each) + yesterday's tips (3, ×2 each = 6) = 16 boxes hitting the table today. Here's the damage:

Today's Math (Don't Look If You're Sensitive)

  • Boxes opened: 16 at ≈ 3,56 gold each = 56,96 gold spent

  • Market value of everything pulled:

    • 9 Whites = 54 Scrap @ 0,226 = 12,204 golds

    • 4 Greens * 4gs on Average per green = 16 golds

    • 2 Blues (17,8g + 19,5g) = 37,3 golds

  • Net result today: 65,5 - 56,96 = +8,54 golds

Running gold total since Day 1: -10,355 + 8,54 = -1,815 golds

The Rule (a.k.a. How You Enable Me, Now In Two Flavors)

Three tips broke something in me, so the rule gets worse, every day, boxes to open = yesterday's pile + yesterday's likes (×1 box each) + yesterday's tips (×2 boxes each). Tips are still real gold (5 gold each) funding real boxes, likes are free for you and funded by me. Whatever the formula spits out queues up overnight and opens in tomorrow's article, on top of everything already piled up before it.

Do Your Part

Yesterday, 3 of you carried the entire operation on your backs. Respect, honestly, but also: come on. Today it's cheaper than ever to make it worse — tip if you want to double up, like if you're broke but still complicit.
