Diplomacy Tool : Chrome extension and v2.1!

Here we go again! As they say, "he who stops is lost" so I'm continuing development of WarEra Diplomacy OS with some major updates!

๐Ÿš€ 1. No Longer Just a Page: It's Now a Browser Extension

The first big revolution is in distribution. WarEra Diplomacy OS is no longer confined to a random tab in your browser. It becomes an extension. This means one-click access, always at your fingertips while you browse or monitor other resources. Zero friction, maximum operational speed.

๐Ÿ”Œ 2: Goodbye Hardcoding

This is the technical change that changes everything. If before updating an alliance or a non-aggression pact (NAP) meant digging into the code and redeploying, now everything is managed externally via CSV files.

  • Alliance Blocs & External NAPs: Data is no longer "baked into" the software. The CSV files on external repositories are clear and available to anyone who wants to help maintain them!

  • Read-Only NAP List: In the interface you'll now find a dedicated section for external NAPs. It's read-only because it represents the current (more or less) diplomatic reality.
You'll still be able to add extra NAPs on top of these existing ones โ€” and this is where I need your help. I need a list of existing NAPs; the more data I have, the more accurate the tool becomes!

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Modified UI

The interface has been redesigned to maximize the visible map area. I've introduced the read-only NAP list and the alliance blocs view for "original" mode.

As always, you can find the tool not only via the extension but also at:
https://francescoparadiso.github.io/warera-tactical-diplomacy-os/

Furthermore, here you can currently find the alliance bloc and NAP lists (which still need to be integrated):
NAP:
https://github.com/francescoparadiso/warera-tactical-diplomacy-os/blob/main/warera_naps.csv
Alliance Blocs:

What to Expect in the Future?

Wellโ€ฆ the idea, for now, is:

Android WebApp: The extension is handy, but having a dedicated app on your phone will be next level.

  1. ๐ŸŒ Sphere of Influence (Proxy View): Using the same external logic as Blocs and NAPs, soon you'll be able to visualize spheres of influence. Minor nations will be colored according to the hegemonic power that controls them (based on external CSV data). Goodbye visual clutter.

  2. Population Overlay: You know who controls a territory, but not how many live there? Soon you'll be able to activate a demographic heatmap.

  3. Damage Overlay: The true essence of war. Visualize who is fighting the most.

  4. Damage/Week and Damage/Player Overlay: Advanced analytical tools to understand who's pushing hardest and a visual damage heatmap!

Until the next update!
