But Greenland also has a modern capital.

Nuuk is the largest city in Greenland and home to fewer than 20,000 people. It is the cultural heart of the country, with museums, restaurants, cafés, art, music and modern architecture.

And yet, nature is never far away.

From the city centre, you can reach the shores of the enormous Nuuk Fjord within minutes. Mountains and vast wilderness begin just outside the city.

Nuuk is a place where modern Greenland and traditional Greenland meet — where fishermen, hunters, artists, students and professionals live side by side.
