ECHOES OF A BROKEN PACT
Attacked gratuitously without a clue,
By the so called 'protectors' of the AU,
People of the Land of Ra,
Claimed they were afraid of a war that was not far,
Cast aside by our bloc,
We could no longer stand the mock,
'Twas clear one country had a bigger plate,
When mentioned they would berate,
Some were shameless enough to talk on race,
Clearly that was not our place,
Packed our bags we did,
Started planning our comeback as we hid.
A deal was struck with the People of the Nile,
Compensation into our account they would pile,
Enemy status was revoked,
Seemed peace was near, we were stoked,
Land was returned as per the clause,
Forgive we did our neighbours for their flaws,
Time to regroup and collect our thoughts,
Lurking, the Mzansi people eyed our plots.
A country offered to hold our land,
We didn't know it was their intention to expand,
South Africa we had good relations,
No one thought there would be any complications,
After the negotiations had concluded,
We requested our land back as was alluded,
But no! There were to be conditions,
Conditions that would limit our ambitions.
We tried to negotiate but demands were unrealistic,
They thought we would be meek and lambistic,
But around here citizens have the final word,
And sick they were of this mocking absurd,
We picked our gears and went to war,
Needed to show weak we were no more,
Determined we were to thwart the Judas,
Their meceneries triumphed predatory they had pursued us.
This is a warning to all nations,
Trust me you do not know your brothers' intentions,
Tread lightly for they will take advantage,
The trust you bestowed they plan to damage,
A war is clearly on the horizon,
Beware for some brethren are devising!
