The base value is 30 Entrepreneurship and increases 5 per skill level, with a maximum of 80 Entrepreneurship. 10% of your Entrepreneurship is regenerated per hour.
With Entrepreneurship you can work at one of your own companies to fill the Company production storage. You need 10 Entrepreneurship to work once. The amount of Production points added when working once depends on your Production skill and the Production bonus of the company.
In my case, I will generate 37 x 1.6275 = 60 PP (±10% RNG). After working at one of your own companies, you can click PRODUCE to produce items, in this case steel.

The base value is 30 Energy and increases 10 per skill level, with a maximum of 130 Energy. 10% of your Energy is regenerated per hour.
With Energy you can work for salary at the company of your employer. You need 10 Energy to work once.
In my case, I will receive 37 x 0.11 = 4.07 coins (±10% RNG) each time I work.

The base value is 10 Production and increases 3 per skill level, with a maximum of 40 Production.
The Production skill determines how much Production points (PP) you generate each time you work with Entrepreneurship or Energy. There is ±10% RNG on Production when working. So if your Production skill is 40, you will generate between 36 and 44 PP when working once.
The base value is 2 Companies and increases 1 per skill level, with a maximum of 12 Companies.
By building more companies you will generate more passive income. Each company has an Automated Engine (AE) that generates 24 PP/day by default, and each AE upgrade will give 24 PP/day extra. The Production bonus also applies to the PP generation of Automated engines!
The base value is 4 Management and increases 2 per skill level, with a maximum of 24 Management.
By increasing the management skill you can hire more employees for your companies. Employees will give you Production points in return for salary. If you choose a competitive salary for the employees and a high Production bonus for your companies, you can make profit.
In my case, I pay my employee 0.125 x 13 = 1.625 coins each time he works. I have a Production bonus of 61.75%, so I will receive 13 x 1.6175 = 21 PP. Iron sells at 0.08/PP, so the 21 PP are worth 21 x 0.08 = 1.68. The profit I make each time my employee works is 1.68 - 1.825 = 0.055 coins.

Upgrading the Automated Engines for your Companies becomes exponentially more expensive for each level, so it is nice to know how long it takes for the Automated Engine Upgrade to pay for itself. For the calculation I used a 60% Production bonus.
AE 2 (20 steel) takes 10.4 days
AE 3 (40 steel) takes 20.8 days
AE 4 (80 steel) takes 41.7 days
AE 5 (160 steel) takes 83.3 days
AE 6 (320 steel) takes 166.7 days
AE 7 (640 steel) takes 333.3 days
Distributing your skill points into the economic skills optimally will lead to the highest profits possible. The rule of thumb is to build as much companies as possible, so spend your skill points in Companies limit first. The optimal distribution of your remaining skill points into Entrepreneurship, Energy, and Production is shown in the table below. To know your remaining skill points, subtract the skill points used in Companies limit and Management from your total skill points.

You can start a buddy system with one other player to pay less taxes, increasing your profits. For this, you need to pay each other the lowest salary possible, lowering the taxes you pay to the countries of the companies. With this system you can increase your profit on salary by 5 to 7%. Both players should have similar Energy and Production skills to have this system work best, otherwise one player will miss out on income.
