Egypt's recent decision to raise the iron tax to 11% has caused significant frustration across the map. But according to players, the issue goes beyond the number itself.
The main complaint making rounds is not the 11% rate but the way it was introduced. Players are accusing Egypt of deliberately setting the tax at 1% initially to attract workers and fill iron companies, then raising it to 11% once those companies were fully staffed.
One player put it directly: "The problem is not the tax being 11 or whatever, the problem is you scammers putting it to 1% so iron companies get filled with workers and after that raising it to 11."
Egypt has not yet issued an official response to the accusations.
