Elections in Mexico: Why Should You Care, and Who Are the Best Candidates?

Dear reader, in less than 24 hours, Mexico will hold its first truly authentic elections.

Since the creation of WarEra, the Mexican population consisted of no more than approximately 25 citizens, only a few of whom had the privilege of serving both in the government and in Congress. As a result, they managed to build considerable fortunes using resources generated by Mexican companies.

However, after the so-called “baby boom”, approximately 120 new citizens — along with several others who have not yet officially become citizens — arrived in Mexico hoping to live under a government that would actually LISTEN to them and take their opinions into account.

Unfortunately for us citizens — and I invite you, reader, to verify this yourself — if you visit Mexico’s country information page, you will notice that the government initially chose to hold the elections behind closed doors.

This desperate maneuver by the government appeared designed to keep in power those who are ALREADY wealthy thanks to the resources produced by our Mexican companies.

Thanks to the activism of the people, we DEMANDED new elections: authentic, open, and free elections in which more than 140 citizens would finally have the opportunity to make their voices heard.

Who Are the Candidates?

Reader, unfortunately, the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT has been extremely cautious about releasing the official list of possible candidates for tomorrow’s elections.

Perhaps this is a strategy designed to prevent candidates from having enough time or space to prepare their political campaigns and gain supporters.

However, here at this newspaper, we value candidates who take initiative.

We can confidently say that only TWO CANDIDATES have approached us voluntarily to present their plans of action in the event that they are elected to Congress.

Why Should I Care Who Wins?

I know what you may be wondering, reader.

Whether you are a foreign citizen or simply an ordinary Mexican voter, why should you care about supporting these candidates for the Mexican Congress?

Well, here is a list they personally provided us so that you can better understand what they stand for:

• It demonstrates political initiative. A candidate who voluntarily approaches the public to explain their plan shows that they actually want to govern, rather than simply occupy a seat in Congress.

• It allows voters to evaluate proposals before casting their vote. If a candidate explains what they want to improve — whether it is the economy, resources, the military, diplomacy, or industry — citizens can vote based on concrete objectives rather than simply voting for popular names (cough cough https://app.warera.io/user/6a52c3bfb09cbbd696dae9ee ).

• It creates public accountability. When a candidate publicly announces their commitments, citizens can later compare what was promised with what was actually accomplished during their term — unlike what our current members of Congress have FAILED to do.

• It encourages citizen participation. A candidate who openly communicates their ideas creates opportunities for questions, criticism, and new proposals. Congress functions better when there is genuine dialogue between representatives and citizens.

• Silence also sends a message. If other candidates refuse to present proposals, voters have no way of knowing what those candidates intend to do with the political power they are asking citizens to give them.

Between a candidate who presents an imperfect plan and one who presents no plan at all, at least the first gives the people something that can be debated, improved, questioned, and ultimately demanded.

For foreign nations, there should also be pressure from governments and foreign ministers to guarantee free elections without political repression.

After all, a phenomenon such as a “baby boom” should not be taken lightly by the presidents of other nations.

A country governed by COLD and disconnected members of Congress may approve laws that affect the international market, disrupt diplomatic relationships, or even contribute to the outbreak of wars.

The future of Mexico will not only affect Mexicans.

It may affect the entire world.
