It's the 1st of August. Yesterday our Dutch allies showed us the way forward. Their lightning-fast uprising and ingenious strategy allowed them not only to push Norway and Germany out of Holland and Friesland, but also opened the gates to perform one of the most audacious acts we have witnessed so far they managed to take over Lower Saxony.
After witnessing the acts of courage and the unbroken spirit of the Dutch people, Belgium rose up yet again from the depths of despair and decided to strike swiftly and decisively to recover our sacred capital city of Brussels. Our fighting spirit prevailed, and we remained unbroken.
The battle was fierce, we suffered many casualties, not only military but also civilian. The price for freedom is harsh and unjust. The city itself suffered a great deal of damage. With the support of the international legion, we recovered our capital. The acts of bravery witnessed on the 1st of August will remain eternally engraved in our memory.
This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning of the B.E.E.R. axis of evil. We will mourn our people, we will rebuild our cities, and we will not forget the atrocities committed by our enemies.
The fight for our freedom continues. We drove the German armies out of Luxembourg, and soon the great battle for Wallonia will ensue.
The night has been long, but the sun does not ask permission to rise. Neither will we!
