South Africa Speaks on Africa’s Security, Morocco Alliance, and International Relations

Journalist Mikael : hello Mr president I journalist maikal I so happy to be my special guest in my first political interview So let’s move to the first question: Currently, Africa is witnessing a series of conflicts and wars, such as what is happening with Morocco as it confronts Portuguese and Spanish forces that are penetrating into Africa. How do you see the security situation in Africa, and Morocco is your ally within the continent?

Mr president answer I see the security situation in Africa as something to be constantly monitored. Our geography creates many strategic resources in an accessible area that off-continent countries are always eyeing. I definitely see Morocco as an ally on the continent, and they have been key in keeping Portuguese forces off our shores.

Journalist Mikael ask :South Africa is considered the leading economic power in Africa and an inspiring model for other countries. What is the reason for this? Can you share your economic experience and expertise?

Mr president answer:South Africa does not occupy and go to war with other African nations just for their resources. All but one of the strategic resources held by South Africa are rented from our neighbours. South Africa is not an economic power by itself — we are an economic power together with our neighbouring friends and allies, and South Africa is only a custodian of that power at this moment.

In terms of shareable experience and expertise, if a country were to attempt the same, they must always honour agreements made and remain respectful toward the requests of even the smallest nations, even if they cannot fully adhere to them.

Journalist Mikael ask Relations between Morocco and South Africa are witnessing impressive momentum and development. Are these relations based on interests and pragmatism, or are they fraternal relations and mutual support without the need to link them to political or economic interests?

Mr president answer :South Africa’s priority has long been to protect the integrity of Africa, and Morocco has regularly shown itself to also be a staunch defender of the continent. Because of this, we see them as brothers in arms.

This relationship has existed for a long time and has intensified because of current events, but I do not see it as purely political or economic interest. We could have waited for war to reach our borders, but that simply was not acceptable to us.

Journalist Mikael ask :What are the relations like with other countries such as Portugal, Spain, Venezuela, and Iraq?

Mr president answer :We do not currently have a line of contact with the Spanish government. Portugal is more complicated — there are many individual Portuguese players with whom we maintain good relations, but I cannot say I am very fond of the current government.

We also have very poor relations with Venezuela, and I do not see them improving anytime soon due to the behaviour of some of their players in their Discord server and the leaks that emerged from there.

Journalist mikael ask :What are the relations between the ruling party in South Africa and the ruling party in Morocco?

Mr president answer I do not actually know if there is a direct relationship between the ruling parties in each country. Political party affiliation in South Africa is often a practical matter, and cabinets regularly contain people from multiple parties.

We generally maintain relationships directly with individuals rather than with loose political groupings.

Interview Evaluation

When asked about the quality of the interview questions, the response was:

“The quality of the questions is very good!”

A special shoutout was also given to Simo and IceKnight for their professionalism and cooperation:Please add a shoutout to Simo and IceKnight from me. They have been great to work with, and I look forward to more interactions with them.”

As the interview came to an end, one thing remained unmistakably clear: the political landscape is entering a decisive phase where leadership, strategy, and national vision will shape the future more than ever before. Amid rising tensions and shifting alliances, the coming period is expected to redefine balances of power both regionally and internationally.

Whether history will remember this moment as the beginning of a new era or merely another chapter in a long struggle remains uncertain. But according to our guest, one reality cannot be ignored: nations that adapt, unite, and act with determination are the ones that ultimately endure.

This was Journalist Mikael reporting — where politics, power, and history converge.
