Excommunication of France

On my final day as Pope, I am making one last major decision.

This kind of behavior goes against the values of loyalty and honesty.

Because of these actions, I declare:

France is excommunicated from the Church.

From this moment France stands cast out from the grace of the Church.

Its rulers shall find no blessing in their rule, its armies march without divine favor, and its people are cut off from the spiritual protection once granted to the faithful.

No Christian nation is called to trust or aid it and its name shall be spoken with doubt in every court.


Only through true repentance and proven loyalty may this judgment ever be lifted.
