Proposal: Democratic Right to Expel Inactive or Harmful Citizens

One of the biggest challenges many countries face in War Era is dealing with players who intentionally sabotage their nation, remain inactive while holding important positions, or simply refuse to cooperate with the rest of the community. At the moment, countries have very limited options to deal with these situations.

I propose adding a democratic expulsion system.

Under this system, every country would have the legal right to expel one of its citizens only if the majority of active citizens vote in favor. This would not be a decision made by a president or a small group of officials, but by the citizens themselves.

Why this would improve the game

-Protects democracy. The decision belongs to the majority of the country's citizens rather than a single leader.

-Removes harmful players. Countries could deal with trolls, spies, or players who intentionally damage their nation.

-Encourages participation. Citizens would have a greater role in shaping their country's future.

-Strengthens communities. Nations could build more cooperative and active player bases.

-Safeguards

To prevent abuse, several protections should be included:

-Only one expulsion vote can be held against the same player within a certain time period.

-A minimum percentage of active citizens must participate for the vote to be valid.

-A clear majority (for example, over 50% or even 60%) should be required for expulsion.

-Newly joined players could be protected from expulsion for a short period to prevent immediate abuse.

What Happens After Expulsion?

Since the current game mechanics do not allow a player to exist without a country, expelled players would automatically become citizens of Antarctica and be under white flag.

Antarctica would function as a neutral territory rather than a normal country. Players living there would still be able to play the game, especially its economic aspects such as working, producing goods, trading on the market, and managing companies. However, they would not be able to participate in national politics, vote, hold government positions, or join military actions until another country accepts them as a citizen.

This approach ensures that no player is permanently removed from the game. Instead, expulsion becomes a political consequence of losing the trust of a country's citizens while still allowing the player to continue progressing through the economic side of War Era.

Conclusion

War Era is built around politics, democracy, and player-driven nations. Giving citizens the democratic right to expel a player—through a fair majority vote—would provide countries with a tool to protect themselves from spies, trolls, and players who repeatedly work against their nation's interests.

By sending expelled players to Antarctica instead of removing them from the game, the system remains fair. Players keep access to the economic gameplay and always have the opportunity to rebuild their reputation and eventually be accepted by another country. This creates meaningful political consequences without preventing anyone from continuing to enjoy the game.
