Feature Suggestion – Country Missile System

Hello,

I’d like to suggest a feature that could add more depth to country wars and player cooperation in WarEra: a country-based missile system.

πŸš€ Core Idea

Allow countries to build and launch missiles as part of their war efforts. These missiles would deal direct damage to enemy countries, similar to existing combat mechanics.

🏭 Production & Crafting

Players could produce missile components in their factories and contribute them to a shared country stash.

Missiles would require 3–4 core resources, for example:

  • Metal / Steel

  • Fuel

  • Electronics

  • (Advanced only) Uranium for nuclear missiles

All players in a country could help by farming and shipping materials, while leaders (or specific roles) assemble the missiles.

🧨 Missile Types

Each missile type would scale in cost and direct damage output:

  • Basic Missile (Tomahawk-style)

    • Low cost

    • ~10,000 damage

  • Improved Missile

    • Moderate cost

    • ~50,000–100,000 damage

  • Heavy Missile

    • High cost

    • ~500,000+ damage

  • Nuclear Missile

    • Very high cost + Uranium

    • Up to ~5,000,000 damage

    • Limited use or long cooldown for balance

Each higher tier would require more of the same base materials, with nuclear missiles needing an additional rare resource.

🀝 Teamplay & Strategy

This system would:

  • Encourage active cooperation between players (resource production, logistics, planning)

  • Give countries strategic choices:

    • Use many smaller missiles consistently

    • Save resources for high-impact nuclear strikes

  • Add more depth to wars without changing core combat rules

βš–οΈ Balance Ideas

  • Limits on how many missiles a country can store

  • High cost for stronger missiles to prevent spam

  • Role-based permissions for launching missiles

πŸ›‘οΈ Missile Defense System (Counter Mechanic)

To balance offensive missile usage, countries could build regional missile defense systems that protect against incoming attacks.

πŸ—οΈ Defense Building: Anti-Missile System (AMS)

Each state can construct a Missile Defense Facility that attempts to intercept incoming missiles.

  • Built per state/region

  • Upgradable up to Level 10

  • Requires:

    • Metal / Steel

    • Electronics

    • Fuel & Oil

βš™οΈ How It Works

When a missile is launched at a region:

  • The system rolls a chance to intercept

  • If not intercepted β†’

    • Missile deals 100% of its damage

  • If intercepted β†’

    • Missile damage is reduced, but not prevented

    • Every missile will always deal partial damage

  • Interception represents:

    • Partial destruction

    • Early detonation

    • Debris impact

☒️ Special Case: Nuclear Missiles

  • Even when intercepted:

    • They deal significant reduced damage (~3,000,000)

    • Apply radiation damage over time (5–15 minutes)

πŸ“ˆ Upgrade Scaling

  • Level 1
~5% chance to intercept incoming missiles

  • Level 2
    ~10% interception chance

  • Level 3
    ~15% interception chance

  • Level 4
    ~20% interception chance

  • Level 5
    ~25% interception chance

  • Level 6
    ~30% interception chance

  • Level 7
    ~35% interception chance

  • Level 8
    ~40% interception chance

  • Level 9
    ~45% interception chance

  • Level 10
    ~50% interception chance

The cost of upgrades will scale using the existing upgrade system, increasing significantly at higher levels to maintain balance.

I think this feature would make wars more engaging while staying consistent with the game’s mechanics.

Thanks for your time and consideration!
