First mention of Lithuania in writting happened more than a thousand years ago.
It was not some kind of diplomatic decree. It was mention in an Annal, (not to confuse with the brown eye), an annual summary of the most importat events. As it happens, on the Lithuanian border Saint Bruno and his followers were killed.
It is important to notice, don't go around telling Pagans that their religion is wrong and you may avoid the weapons of Lituae.
Fun fact. Lithuania held strong and was the last nation to convert to Christianity.
