FKSpaceman is playing... (5th issue)

Thank God it's Friday, fellow warriors!

I know, I know, it's been 13 days since the last issue and I am sorry if I left you with no other option than listening to slop AI music, but hey... IRL is a bitch.

My musical advice for this first weekend evening comes straight from my heart.

I present you one my <3 beloved band: Spacemen 3 (guess from where my profile pic comes?), with one of their most commercially successful hit: REVOLUTION.

Few bands have left such a deep mark on alternative music while remaining relatively underground as Spacemen 3. Formed in Rugby, England, by Jason Pierce (J. Spaceman) and Peter Kember (Sonic Boom), the band helped shape the future of shoegaze, space rock and drone music through a unique combination of hypnotic repetition, raw distortion and psychedelic intensity.

Track n° 5 of their 3rd studio album, "Revolution", originally released in 1988 and later featured on Playing With Fire, is perhaps the perfect introduction to their world. Built around a simple yet relentless riff, the song feels less like a traditional rock track and more like a mantra. Loud, repetitive and euphoric, it captures the essence of what made Spacemen 3 so influential: the ability to create something overwhelming from the simplest ingredients.

Part of the fascination surrounding the band comes from the relationship between its two leaders. Pierce and Kember began as close friends and musical soulmates, but as Spacemen 3 grew, their artistic visions drifted apart.

I mean, for real, please, LISTEN TO THE WHOLE GODDAMN ALBUM. Its name is 'Playing with Fire'. It is even on Spotify (even if this arise some copyright problems, but please. LISTEN TO IT)

Stay choooned!

P.S.
Hold on a second... I Smell burning...
