From FB Recruit to Presidential Run: Why ZA Won't Be an ATM Anymore

If you told me back when I first clicked a link on the ZAGA Facebook page recruited by my War Era daddy https://app.warera.io/user/691c160fdb65494c1befd038, that I’d eventually be writing a candidacy announcement, I would’ve laughed.
I came for a mobile war game, but I stayed because of this fantastic Discord community, easily one of my favourite Discord communities.

Before I get down to business, I want to thank all the friends I’ve made over the last 3 months: from https://app.warera.io/user/690efde8fa2a3c7c37ee867d , whose deep voice welcomed me and made me feel at home, to the Cat King https://app.warera.io/user/68e538c09c4aafa6f1a0bd5c, who gave me my very first piece of advice. Even as a brand-new player, I couldn't help poking my nose into government affairs. Truthfully, I never had grand ambitions to run for President, I was completely content grinding away in Congress or even supporting my country however I could. But then Storm and https://app.warera.io/user/694dc3c65b77a68527021717 pulled me into the cabinet. First, it was advocated that I take MoE, but https://app.warera.io/user/69196f4f6021f881e21f90fb pivoted me to MoFA, and for the last two months, that’s where I’ve been serving.

In those two months as MoFA, I’ve built real connections with great people in different countries, some not even allies, and my alliance would hate me for speaking with them. Special shout-out to https://app.warera.io/user/692a967278eab26a65ecf084, who was patient with me during my first TF issues and always willing to explain all the politics in detail, teaching me a lot of what I know of MoFA currently.
I’ve always believed in giving people the benefit of the doubt, even when paper politics labelled them "enemies." Diplomacy isn't just about reading stats it's about treating people like human beings who are just here for the same reason you are.

Where We Stand Right Now

We just went through hell. BEER wiped us off the map, and through sheer grit, and our friends in https://app.warera.io/alliance/6a2965afbc253b28fcf0d1c7, we reclaimed our independence. It's been the best time with you all, and some of you are war masterminds. We appreciate you!

Now, as we look to hold our freedom and manage strategic resources again, we face a massive trap: becoming the alliance ATM and becoming bored.

I’m going to be straight with you: I am tired of South Africa sitting doing nothing with no active wars, just funnelling cash to allies while our own players get bored.

We also have new enemies on our doorstep.

My Core Promise

If you elect me, my focus is clear: Balance.

• No Passive Bankrolling: We will support our foreign partners, but never at the expense of our own citizens' gameplay.

• Action for ZA Players: Financial support must go hand-in-hand with active military enforcement. You shouldn't just be clicking "transfer funds", you should have active fights, clear orders, and a reason to log in every day.

• Guarded Independence: We fought hard to get back on the map; we aren't giving up our sovereignty or our budget to anyone.

I didn't seek this seat out, you asked me to step up.

If you give me the mandate, we’re going to keep ZA free, active, and respected, but this is a two-way street; I need you all to work with me. We need to work together to make the above happen.
