Gambia and Guinea-Bissau NAP

The signing of the Non-Aggression Agreement between the Republic of Gambia and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau marks an important step toward stronger neighborly relations. This agreement provides a foundation of trust by ensuring that disputes will not be settled through military force. NON-AGGRESSION AGREEMENT

ARTICLE I — NON-AGGRESSION

The Republic of Guinea-Bissau and the Republic of Gambia undertake not to launch attacks, conduct offensive military operations, or carry out any other hostile action against each other’s Core Territories for the duration of this Agreement.

ARTICLE II — PENALTIES

Should either Party violate this Agreement, it shall indemnify the other Party at a rate of 1 BTC for every 1,000 points of damage caused.

ARTICLE III — DURATION

This Agreement shall remain in force for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of signature and may be renewed by mutual agreement of the Parties.

ARTICLE IV — TERMINATION

Either Party may terminate this Agreement by providing 24 (twenty-four) hours’ prior notice to the other Party.

Should this Agreement be broken without such prior notice, the responsible Party shall pay a fixed penalty of 1,000 BTC, without prejudice to the penalties set forth in Article II.

ARTICLE V — NO OBLIGATION OF ASSISTANCE

Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted as creating any obligation for either Party to provide military, economic, diplomatic, or any other form of assistance to the other Party in the event of an attack by a third state or any other external actor.

ARTICLE VI — FINAL PROVISIONS

By signing this Agreement, Guinea-Bissau and Gambia agree to all terms set forth above and undertake to abide by them for the entire duration of this Agreement.
