⚔️🔥 Gambia’s Two Bad Faith Negotiations – From Diplomacy to Revolt 🕊️

MadamGothApril 19, 2026politics

There has been some talk about ourselves in https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5f1c of late and accusations that came up in the negotiations I am about to discuss as well.

Due to our recent joint military campaign with https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac832 we are being called a proxy and puppet state. Sure, merc era is dead and we were bored, but we also had a moment of PTSD when we saw the likes of https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac82f and https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d546e731854c7ac858 heading towards land grabs in Africa. As veterans of the African freedom battles we will not let that stand. For a good cause we will, of course, fight for free, there is little else to it than that.

However, let’s talk about a real puppet state: that of German‑https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5ee7

🕊️ First Negotiation (April 7)

On April 7th, Gambia’s then new MoFA https://app.warera.io/user/6999c8704e4abab2d19f3075 approached us with promises of alliance and cooperation. Yet almost immediately, the discussion turned to a “buy‑out” of the Gambian region. Despite offers of alternative land, their government insisted only the Gambian core would suffice.

We calculated the strategic resource loss and offered a fair liberation deal based on the income that would be lost by losing a unique SR. At first, they accepted. Their representatives asked questions that revealed a lack of understanding of land trade and liberation mechanics, which we clearly explained to them, as I am always one to offer guidance to newer players. Once clarified, the mechanics were no longer an obstacle. We even went so far as to propose and pass peace laws in preparation for their release, demonstrating our commitment to a peaceful resolution.

But within hours, they reversed course. Out of nowhere, they claimed instructions had come from “higher ups” - no doubt, Papa https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac79c, despite their loud insistence on independence. As intel suggests the FatherLand sees https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5ee7’s resources as their own. This was the first collapse, exposing their lack of autonomy and their willingness to negotiate in bad faith.

⚔️ Second Negotiation (April 19)

The second round began today, April 19th, after https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5ee7 attempted to declare war on us the night before. We beat them to it and gained priority, a purely defensive tactic. It must be remembered: they declared war on us first, and this came after they had already refused a previous deal.

In good faith, however, we opened talks when they came knocking. They tried to haggle down the SR value, despite our fair recalculation for the 11 days remaining in the month. They also claimed mercenary status and accused us of wrong-doing by defending Africa. Curious as I am, I asked how they intended to maintain their forces on current bounties and what their rates would be if hired, but they failed to provide answers. https://app.warera.io/user/699c279d6aa6af277f6d150f even responded with a yawning emoji during the discussion, underscoring their insincerity.

We continued to negotiate and even made them an offer to rent their SR for a more than fair value. We went further, drafting and sharing a NAP as part of the deal. We even offered to let them keep their bunker if the price offered was fair. Despite all this, apparently, their own player base ultimately voted against diplomacy, and https://app.warera.io/user/6999c8704e4abab2d19f3075 formally ended negotiations.
Conveniently, the vote was set for just four hours, conveniently the exact length of time left on the priority window.

💣 This was not diplomacy; it was extortion. They attempted to leverage war while we were already defending Africa against a possible invasion from South America. Their actions raise the question: why bother negotiating at all if their citizens were opposed from the start?

The answer is clear, this was never about diplomacy, it was about stalling in bad faith and wasting our time.

🔥 Conclusion

Twice https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5ee7 opened negotiations. Twice they closed them in bad faith. The first collapse came under orders from https://app.warera.io/country/6813b6d446e731854c7ac79c, undermining their claim of independence. The second was nothing more than a stall, ending in extortion and revolt.

All War Era players deserve clarity: https://app.warera.io/country/6873d0ea1758b40e712b5ee7’s revolt is not the product of diplomacy denied, but of diplomacy abused. They are untrustworthy, duplicitous, and negotiate only in bad faith. Even after I confronted them directly about the circumstances of the second negotiations, they pursued the obvious stall, for what reason I am unsure, as we could not have stopped them from revolting regardless.

Anyway, we remain committed to exposing their duplicity and defending Africa against foreign opportunists who mistake bad faith for strategy. ⚔️🌍🔥
