I started playing two weeks ago and after a few days I fully understood the game.
Several veteran players have attempted to explain how things actually work.
Unfortunately, I am both too stupid to understand them and too confident to believe them.
So I continue.
The game is mainly about doing damage.
Everything else appears to be a distraction.
Observed mechanics include:
clicking fight and immediately losing health
clicking fight again because it probably works better the second time
occasionally and accidentally attacking the wrong side and deciding to commit to it
staring at the damage numbers like they personally matter
This is known as progression.
The game also has an economy system.
This appears to exist so that players can afford to play the game.
Observed strategy:
invest in war → become poor immediately
invest in economy → become slightly less poor
build companies → forget what they do
work several jobs to afford fighting once
At one point I stopped fighting completely and focused on earning money.
This improved my ability to fight later.
This suggests the best way to fight is to avoid fighting.
Combat is based on two flags.
Under each flag it clearly says either attack or defend, then attack depending on orders.
This is useful information.
carefully reading the orders, then clicking the other side just to be safe
not reading the orders at all and committing fully to whatever happens
noticing the word “attack” and assuming it is a suggestion
following other players who seem confident, even when they are attacking the wrong side
asking which side to click after already clicking several times
At one point even I was informed there are actual orders.
I chose to ignore this.
It felt limiting.
The game includes a political system.
Players can become president.
The president can start wars and make laws.
Observed behavior:
players arguing about decisions they did not make
players voting on things they do not understand
someone becoming president and immediately doing something unexpected
This appears to be an advanced feature.
After careful analysis, the game works as follows:
click things
wait for things
earn money to click more things
occasionally become part of a government
I now fully understand the game.
Any disagreement will be ignored.
