GARGANTUAN Battles in the Far East - Malacca Strait Times

I am writing this as the second round in the Battle of New South Wales ended a short while ago. Still, there are battles around the region worth looking out for.

The country tournament has ended, while some countries can bask in the glory of victory, the WarEra (TM) has to continue and turn entire regions into wasteland. I have witnessed some significant incidents in the military situation, hence I will now take a look at them once more.

Starting from East Asia, the northernmost regions are simply peaceful, except for more territory changes between United Korea and the Philippines. The insurrection in the Northern Taiwan region has unfortunately failed though, with the region still under the firm control of the Philippines. There's a good chance a second resistance battle is on the way if the military situation in the South continues to fester (which is very likely).

Onto the SEA region. The mainland situation has developed as expected, where brief rebellions in the Vientiane region has been defeated. The short-lived independent Cambodian territory has also been swiftly reconquered in Stung Treng, but not before an attack on Da Nang had to be thwarted. No doubt all of these battles are carried out in an effort to distract and weaken other fronts for the Federation. With the nation of Vietnam and Poland holding down the region, there's minimal chance any resistance will go far.

The situation in maritime SEA is much more dynamic though. Indonesia has managed to regain control of their capital Java, and retake Sulawesi from the Federation forces at the same time. East Timor's western Indonesian holdings are now on shaky ground, being cut off from their capital and presenting a vulnerable front. Instead, Indonesia used Sulawesi as a springboard to attack the Philippines' core regions directly, initiating the notable battle of Mindanao, where both sides have invested substantial resources. This strategy has been observed multiple times in the past, though it has yet to work in Indonesia's favor, the outcome of this battle might just prove to be the turning point of the war.

Lastly on Oceania, where Papua New Guinea has been tasked with the general defense and control of the region. They have retaken the Australian Northern Territory, while Western Australia has been easily retaken by Australia. Though, Western Australia isn't connected to the capital and is strategically not very useful for the Australians. What matters most to them is probably the defense of their capital region, New South Wales, which is currently engulfed in the MASSIVE battle. The first round went by relatively normal, both sides dealing 13-14M damage. However, the second round turned the whole region into a bullet-ridden hellscape, with both sides exhausting themselves for the last piece of ground:

Papua New Guinea managed to eke out a victory out of that round, so it's now back to more fighting.

The northern front of the war has collapsed in favor of the Federation. but the situation elsewhere is still uncertain for the time being. One thing is for sure though, many more men will fight, many more lands will be conquered and reconquered, and much more blood will be shed.
