Gaston's Diary #2 : Blitzing Through Germany, Beers and Party - 🇩🇪

Quick update on the whereabouts of Gaston.

Many of you messaged me yesterday guessing that the final picture was Düsseldorf. You guys were absolutely right!

In the hi-res version of the photo, you can clearly see a plastic Rheinturm (TV Tower) souvenir around his neck, a jar of Löwensenf mustard stuffed in his stolen bag, and a pocket compass pointing directly toward the Altstadt (aka "the longest bar in the world.").

• 10:30 AM - Location: Düsseldorf Altstadt.

  I guess Gaston is fully embracing the local culture. The photo shows him with a glass of dark Altbier and a small bottle of Killepitsch liqueur for later. So far, he hasn't figured out how to bypass my phone's biometric lock to use Apple Pay, which really begs the question: how is a capuchin monkey acquiring top-shelf German alcohol?

  

  
  

• 03:45 PM - Location: Dortmund.

  After apparently day-drinking, Gaston hopped a regional train and found a way to support BVB at Signal Iduna Park. I knew I’d never find a tiny primate in a stadium of 80,000 screaming football fans, so my hope was to wait by the exits and catch him after the match. You guessed it, he slipped right past me.

  

• 11:59 PM - Location: Berlin.

  What is a vacation in Germany without experiencing the underground party life in Berlin? He also somehow got a completely new haircut. Does anyone have a good club recommendation in Berlin, by the way? If I have to chase him through Berlin's nightlife, I might as well enjoy myself while I'm at it! :)

  

What is next ?

A user from this very forum messaged me saying they spotted Gaston at the Berlin Hauptbahnhof! I rushed over to the train station as fast as I could. I figured this was my moment, surely, the infamous Deutsche Bahn delays would finally work in my favor and trap him on a platform long enough for me to grab my phone back.

• 08:30 AM - The Clue

  I arrived late to the station. The good news is my train is still planned. The bad news is my train is severely delayed. The worse news is that the user just sent me the photo he took, and Gaston's train was clearly earlier than mine.

I have a terrible feeling I know what country this points to, but maybe you guys can confirm exactly where I need to take my delayed train next?
