Both were tied with the same number of likes, and both gave genuine, thoughtful answers to the question. So both are winners.

We also want to be upfront about something. Two other comments ended up with a high number of likes as well, but they weren't actually answers to the question itself.

When I wrote "Please make sure your comment is an answer to that question," I placed that line right under the question, not under the official Rules section further down.

Technically, those two comments still meet the "most liked" condition as written in the rules, so after some back and forth, we decided the fair thing to do was honor that and add two extra subscriptions rather than leave it in a gray area.

At the same time, we want to gently point out that a comment like a single dot or an emoji, even if it gathers likes, doesn't carry the same weight as the comments people genuinely sat down to write from the heart. We hope this encourages everyone to keep engaging the way most of you already did. With real thought and honesty.
