GRAPHP*RN - How People Vote In Warera

CIVILJune 6, 2026news

Hear ye, gentle reader, and gather close, for here in begins the tale of How People Vote.

In lands both vast and small, the citizenrs assemble as if to a great council, casting their voices like arrows toward the banners of Incumbent and Challenger. Some realms, rich with mighty households and gilded bounty earners, sway the balance with their weight, while others, humble yet steadfast, lend their strength in quieter measure. The clash of numbers becomes a contest of fate, where the will of the multitude is bound to the fortunes of the few. Thus unfolds this chronicle, a tapestry of power and persuasion, where the measure of men and the count of votes decide who shall reign and who shall yield.

NOTE - In the article IP means Incumbent Party wins and NIP means Non-Incumbent Party wins

  1. The chord diagram shows countries split between Incumbent (IP) and Non‑Incumbent (NIP) wins.

  2. Ribbon thickness reflects country’s population size.

  3. Overall, IP vs NIP votes are nearly equal.

Now this is really interesting. When I was making this article and collecting data, I wondered whether the outcome of whether incumbent party wins or loses depends on the representation of mercernaries in a nation.

  1. Above graph compares IP (Incumbent Party) win vs NIP (Non - Incumbent Party) win outcomes using citizens in the top 1000 Bounty Earners.

  2. In IP Outcomes, the % of such people is higher, around 5.5 (stronger merc. presence).

  3. IN NIP Outcomes, it is lower, near 4.5.

  4. The difference highlights incumbents’ advantage in more merc. or higher level citizen participation.

  5. The legend clarifies that the bars represent % of citizens in top 1000 Bounty Earners .

  6. Overall, incumbents appear to mobilize more mercs.

This contour density plot confirms the earlier finding: when a country has higher representation of citizens in the top 1000 bounty earners, elections tend to become landslides. The darker clusters show two clear regimes — one around 55–60% winner votes with 3–5% elite representation, and another around 75–85% winner votes with 12–15% elite representation. That second cluster demonstrates how strong elite participation correlates with overwhelming victories, reinforcing the pattern we saw in the bar chart where incumbents had more top‑tier citizen backing.

Let’s calculate total Incumbent votes, which means:

  • IP wins → Winner Votes count toward incumbents

  • NIP wins → Opposition Votes count toward incumbents

Tally

  • Germany (NIP): Opposition = 241

  • Netherlands (IP): Winner = 209

  • Sweden (NIP): Opposition = 180

  • Egypt (IP): Winner = 146

  • Portugal (IP): Winner = 181

  • Venezuela (NIP): Opposition = 42

  • Italy (NIP): Opposition = 57

  • Belgium (NIP): Opposition = 50

  • Serbia (IP): Winner = 101

  • Indonesia (NIP): Opposition = 49

  • Ukraine (IP): Winner = 76

  • Croatia (IP): Winner = 96

  • Lithuania (IP): Winner = 114

  • Brazil (IP): Winner = 80

  • Romania (IP): Winner = 73

  • Ireland (NIP): Opposition = 53

  • India (IP): Winner = 46

  • France (NIP): Opposition = 22

  • South Africa (IP): Winner = 60

  • Philippines (IP): Winner = 58

Totals

  • Sum of IP Winner Votes = 1,240

  • Sum of NIP Opposition Votes = 652

Total Incumbent Votes = 1,240 + 652 = 1,892

Similarly, let’s compute the total Non‑Incumbent votes to compare against the incumbents

Tally

  • Germany (NIP): Winner = 506

  • Netherlands (IP): Opposition = 173

  • Sweden (NIP): Winner = 112

  • Egypt (IP): Opposition = 49

  • Portugal (IP): Opposition = 126

  • Venezuela (NIP): Winner = 171

  • Italy (NIP): Winner = 125

  • Belgium (NIP): Winner = 141

  • Serbia (IP): Opposition = 79

  • Indonesia (NIP): Winner = 62

  • Ukraine (IP): Opposition = 98

  • Croatia (IP): Opposition = 69

  • Lithuania (IP): Opposition = 12

  • Brazil (IP): Opposition = 81

  • Romania (IP): Opposition = 8

  • Ireland (NIP): Winner = 70

  • India (IP): Opposition = 40

  • France (NIP): Winner = 88

  • South Africa (IP): Opposition = 24

  • Philippines (IP): Opposition = 17

Totals

  • Sum of NIP Winner Votes = 1,183

  • Sum of IP Opposition Votes = 707

Total Non‑Incumbent Votes = 1,183 + 707 = 1,890

Comparison:

  • Incumbent Votes = 1,892

  • Non‑Incumbent Votes = 1,890

Practically a dead heat — incumbents edge out by just 2 votes across all 20 countries.
