TL:DR:
Hungary had 3000 gold removed by the admins, and a Haitian player was banned for “Misuse of State Assets.” This pushed Hungary into bankruptcy, wiped out our alliance system, and left us unable to place bounties or orders. The situation traces back 7 months, when a few Hungarian players moved to Haiti - not as proxies, but as an independent country. We recently approached Haiti to provide us support in the fight in the balkans. but the admins treated this as a violation, even though similar actions by other countries have never been punished. The moderation feels biased, and this is deeply disappointing for us.
And now we’ve lost our honor. From this point on, how can we call anyone else a cheater when we ourselves have been labeled as one?
----
Background:
This whole story began roughly 7 months ago, during the era of the great Romanian Empire. We were few in number and frustrated — no matter what the Balkan block did, no matter how hard we tried, we simply couldn’t compete with the organized Romanian military. They had more players, higher levels, and greater strength. It’s hard to admit, but it’s the truth.
At that point, a small Hungarian friend group of three had enough of this hopeless situation. They left Hungary and
emigrated to Haiti: a country that had a population of 0 or 1 at the time. They believed that far from the Romanian Empire, they could start a new life, try to acquire territory, and fight without oppression. A formal alliance existed between our countries, but that was the extent of our connection.
Separate diplomacy, separate gameplay, separate strategy.
They did not become our proxies, they became a completely
independent country. We never interfered with how they played, and they never interfered with how we played.
How can this be proven? Obviously, it’s difficult. But I think a good example is this: Hungary and the USA had an
alliance, yet Haiti accumulated their gold during the period when the USA was oppressing them. We didn’t tell them how to handle their diplomacy, and they never asked us to intervene.
So the situation is clear: Haiti is not a proxy - it is simply a country inhabited by Hungarians.
One month ago:
About a month ago, we had the idea that we approache Haiti to provide support in the fight in the balkans. The situation was identical to when Egypt or Iraq helps us. But we knew that the Hungarian connection could still cause problems, so we tried to check everything thoroughly.
We wrote to viri separately: ignored.
We opened a ticket to the admins: no response.
Since we received no official rejection, we turned to the rules.
The rules clearly state: “Political Take Overs (PTOs) are permitted, but misusing it to extract a country's resources for personal/another country's gain, to damage the country or to intentionally distort market conditions is a punishable offense…”
However (unlike Bosnia) this was not a PTO, not a proxy (we never interfered), and we have seen multiple examples on the other side - especially Serbia (Kosovo, Bosnia) - where the admins had absolutely no issue with similar actions.
Despite PTOs, despite “extracting resources for another country’s gain,” despite multiple reports, they were never punished, and their transfers were never reversed.
Also:
Even if we assume for a moment that they were considered proxies (they aren’t, but let’s pretend), Johnny once explained very clearly on the official Warera Discord what is punishable and what isn’t. Based on that explanation, they did not violate any rule.
(1, I should not have to go into a specific discord and search for an explanation, especially if it is not linked in the rules.)
2, Haiti funds were gathered trough the last 7 months. The total income of the own investment + development not including hijacked taxes is close to the donated 3k.
3, The players did not leave the country. They are there since like W33-2025. So for ages really. 10% of the total treasury was donated, the country gained independence with the help of the alliance, so fraud or malicious intent is not present.
4, All orders were in balance with the actual war bounties. There were no excessive contracts or out of the ordinary orders. The country behaved as a country should in case of a war situation.
5, No spammed or repeated transfers were made – (it was a one off, in the middle of the war, where alliance members mutually assisted each other.)
Given all this, I made the decision that we were not breaking any rules and could not be harmed for it.
Present day
As I wrote at the beginning: the Haitian citizen is banned, Hungary is bankrupt, our ticket remains unanswered, and another ally who tried to intervene received this response from ElGranjeroMistico: “not a big deal.”
But it is. For us, it absolutely is. As our MoD, SzalayBobrKurwa, mentioned in an earlier article:
“We follow the rules so meticulously that when we went on holiday together as a group, we registered ourselves in a family group just to make sure there wouldn’t be any trouble.”
“In Hungary, there was never any serious multi-accounting; all the old players raised a single account. There was never any proxying, we never used illegal tools, and we never boosted either an account or the country…”
And now here we are. We feel betrayed, that the moderation is biased once again. What one side is allowed to do, the other is not. We always tried to play fair and square, and this is what we get in return. A Disappointment.
Thanks if u read, the translatation was made by ai, and I believe I’ve explained the situation as clearly and transparently as anyone possibly could. (Not that it would matter anyway.)
