Throughout adversity faced by every Filipino, the Philippines has stood as a mother to her people — willing to sacrifice for her children, even left ravaged.

In the spirit of the heroes of this forever War, we remember the war cries those the generations before us: “Ang mamatay ng dahil sa iyo” — not merely a a numbing cry, but the expression of the highest form of love for the motherland. The Ultimate Sacrifice.

This Mother’s Day, we honor not only the mothers who raised us (as we should), but also our "Inang Bayan" — the Philippines — for whom we fight for until she claims us back in her arms.
