History of Sweden | The Third Era - Loremaster Caeruleus

"WAKE UP CAERULEUS!"

Someone is shouting my name.

"Mother?" I try to ask the owner of the screeching voice.

“WAKE UP YOU LAZY GOOD FOR NOTHING MOLTING OWL!”

As my head was violently shook from the ice cold water I wondered what I had done to deserve this treatment. Then I remembered:

Oh that’s right, the Lore. I am a Loremaster now, and that apparently comes with responsibilities, and not only a way for me to pick up chicks (calm down, I mean fully developed birds) at my local bird bath. 

As I struggled to breathe during my involuntary baptizing I remembered wide orange fields and weather mills.

The Third Era  – The Age of Growth and Power

When I try to remember this era, I think of a strong oak tree that grows crooked due to poor soil. I think of a dandelion pushing through concrete.

When nature is being restrained and forced to suffer oppression it still pushes through.

The third Era is not lacking in pressure.

Part 1 - Microcrew The Harbinger of Light

@6961f95d4ef8b98ff55f5e46 marks the dawn of the third era. He served for one significant term, taking over from his predecessor @684c7b78a4bac2a5600b6990. The world was different now. The world that we had been conqeuring now turned against us, crushing us and trying its best to subdue our spirits.

Swedish soil and much of the world was under Netherlandic control. Parts of our cores were under Latvian care for a while with a promise to give it back to us once we freed ourselves from our oppressors. It all seemed to be balancing on a diplomatic knifes edge for a while. Sweden put a lot of faith in the honour of its Baltic brother, much depended on them keeping their word. While Latvia had to navigate difficult diplomacy with its closest neighbours.

But below the surface Sweden was growing more than ever before.. Many new players (including the author) joined the ranks.

The Anti-Swedish propaganda the Netherlands were producing in huge quantities during the occupation only helped in the recruitment of new players.

The kettle wasn’t yet boiling, but it was simmering with increasing intensity.

Sweden had survived wars, political struggles and shifting alliances, but now something else was happening: new players were arriving, and they wanted to build something of their own.

More citiziens meant more guides, more military units, more activity in the chats and questions in a steady stream. I can only describe the period as buzzing with life. Much like spring, which  fittingly enough was the season, a life force that will not allow itselt be contained. *

Although our numbers rapidly increased,we were no match for the Netherlands. People were frustrated, especially newer citizens, but @6961f95d4ef8b98ff55f5e46 and the older players repeated what almost became a mantra:

“With unyielding and unrelenting revolts our enemies will be depleted”

@6961f95d4ef8b98ff55f5e46 took the country through a dark time upon his shoulders. But although it was a dark time, his period in office brought a spark of light. The horizon was still pitch black, but the hint of a sunrise was barely visible.

The time for /user/685039b497ab0ba32805d4dfhad come. He already was a very active part in the establishment of the resistance along with other key players.

Now it was his turn to take the helm.

He had been hard at work for months as a member of congress and lately as Sweden's Minister for Foreign Affairs, strengthening the ties between Sweden and mainly Germany. 

He writes about his service and gives a promise to his supporters: 

“As your next president, I strive to complete the mission I have begun: to define Sweden as a new, stable, organized, and strong power with a clear vision for our future.” -

I think most historians will agree that https://app.warera.io/user/685039b497ab0ba32805d4df kept his promise. He understood that Sweden's influence was not determined solely by the territory it controlled, but also by the relationships it built and the wars it chose to participate in. 

He portrays Sweden's loyalty to Germany not merely as a strategic calculation, but as a matter of honour and friendship. During this period the two countries were extremely close.

During https://app.warera.io/user/685039b497ab0ba32805d4df's one term in office, Sweden broke the clutches of its oppressors. The core regions were reclaimed and for a brief moment the country erupted in jubilation:

We were free.

May 6th 2026

The victory was short-lived. The return of the Netherlands was inevitable. They occupied Sweden once againas soon as they could. But Sweden and her citizens had gotten a breath of air before we sank below the surface once more.

June 5th 2026

The people were more determined than ever. The land would be free, very soon.

And sadly this is the beginning of the end of https://app.warera.io/user/685039b497ab0ba32805d4df . He does not know it during this time, but a few months down the line after establishing a firm presence in the middle-east as the leader for Yemen he will quit the game in a blaze of glory.

And this is were the third Era ends. With many defeats but also the greatest victory. Sweden had regained its hope. The fourth Era begins with a new Statsminister too low leveled to enter the congress, but who managed more than many. But that is for another time.
